Review: Great mini iron - So far love everything about this mini iron for doing fabric collage. The stand easily hooks to it and stays on and works very well. I have been using on medium setting and it is very hot and works beautifully. Cannot speak to durability as just started using it but so far most impressed. On and off controls handy and easy to use.
Review: Love my Mini Iron II - I was torn between buying the regular Mini Iron and the Mini Iron II because I wasn't really sure if I would need the extra attachments that come with the Mini Iron II. However, I'm very glad I bought the one with the adapter because I have discovered that I do indeed need the accessories! I use my MIni Iron II for small projects like 1/4" seams on patchwork quilts and for ironing down binding strips. I hated using my big, bulky iron before because I was constantly burning my fingers or scorching them with the steam. I have yet to burn myself since using this. I'm purchasing the bigger head because I think it will come in handy for navigating the larger patchwork pieces once they are seamed together. The only drawbacks I've had so far is that the high setting is VERY hot, more suitable for using the hot knife than for ironing cotton and the iron takes a while to reach temperature. It's also notable that the small clover stand that comes with the iron doesn't have very good grip and it's a constant struggle to keep it on the ironing board. I usually have to put it on a work table beside me, which worries me because I have small children. This would make the larger cooling stand a good purchase, but for safety reasons should be the one they include with the iron. All in all, a good tool to have for quilting and I'm sure for countless other projects.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Has anyone had this long enough to know if it is a quality product that will work and last awhile?**
A: Worked fine, dangerously hot as hell soldering iron design… died after a year and a half, only used about 10 times, but only mini iron game in town, :(

**Q: i need something like this to transfer patterns to wood. I don't know if it gets hot enough though. does anyone know?**
A: I can confirm that it does work for doing image transfers to wood. I use tshirt transfer paper that I print out on my inkjet. I set the mini iron II on the highest setting and the large tip(also available on Amazon). I burnish the transfer completely with the mini iron and allow it to cool completely before peeling away the backing on the transfer paper. If you don't wait until it has cooled it will stick and ruin the transfer. It does slightly burn the wood. I tried it on the medium setting at first but I don't think that was hot enough or maybe I peeled off the backing too soon.

**Q: What temperatures are available?**
A: According to the manufacturer's web site FAQ page: LOW Approx. 220 Fahrenheit = 104.44 celsius, MIDDLE Approx. 390 = 198.89 c, HIGH Approx 560 = 293.33 c

**Q: should the shaft move??**
A: Mine wiggles too. The shaft is only held on by a couple of flimsy spot welds so anything more than very light pressure on the tip will crack the welds and make the shaft loose.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works great. Problem w/ plastic stand.
*by A***R on January 1, 2026*

Works quite well. The high setting is REALLY hot! Burn your skin hot!! I use it for spot heating collage quilting. Use pressing paper over your project so the hot head doesn’t pick up adhesive. And, the stand it comes with a plastic stand. Don’t use it. The plastic melted on the iron head and ruined it. I’ll need to replace the head. Use a silicone mat to set it on instead. Sort of a dumb component (plastic) with high heat.
