It just works and costs less than other ones. What's not to like? I have had this system for a few weeks now and it appears to have solved our wi-fi problems. Like a lot of people, we have a router supplied by our ISP (NOW TV). It wouldn't reach the whole house despite the house being small and having thin internal walls. To be fair, it is in a bottom corner but that is where the phone line comes in. We had previously paid someone to sort our problems which he did by putting a power over ethernet device in the loft. It didn't really help and seemed to add further problems as now devices couldn't see the wireless printer. I ordered the Deco E4 kit though I was sceptical and fully expected to be sending it back but it just works. The setup is remarkably simple using the app. You also don't need to enter the password on all your devices. A phone or a tablet can authorise other devices to use the network. We have had no further problems with our wifi and everyone is happy. I have an older tablet (Ipad Air 2). I think it is now slower opening web pages but that is a price I am willing to pay since it now works properly anywhere in the house. On newer devices, I haven't noticed that issue. Another point worth mentioning is that on our old router and I believe it is also the same one used by Sky, you don't appear to be able to use it in bridge mode and just use the modem element of it. It doesn't appear to be a problem and causes no interference with the mesh network. In fact I have left some devices attached to it as I haven't got round to changing them yet. I got this kit when it was £87.50 and it seems to go up and down a lot in price but even at full price it is well worth the money.

Disappointed the 3 units do not have UK plugs. They are European plugs! Extra cost to buy 3 adapters.

Great product. I have had them for a month and they have transformed the WIFII in the house. We now have a single meshed WIFII connection to cover the whole house. The hubs hand over the connection seamlessly to the strongest signal wherever you are. Before we had three WIFII hubs to cover the place and you had to keep switching connections to get the best signal depending on the location. Even my workshop 20M from the house now has s strong wifii signal. No resets at all so far. If someone accidentally switches one off, when power is restored it comes back online without any issues or intervention. Has stopped kids complaining. Broadband speed test the wireless devices are faster than the Wifii built in to the nearly new Vodafone hub/Modem . Very good kit.

Iniziamo con il dire che non è un prodotto professionale. Se si vuole un prodotto business, ci si deve orientare verso (l'ottima) famiglia dei devices Omada. Ciò detto, la tecnologia mesh di TP-Link funziona benissimo. I controlli e le configurazioni disponibili per i dispositivi sono pochissimi: si fa tutto da app o dalla pagina web raggiungibile digitando l'indirizzo ip che punta al Deco Master, solitamente quello collegato al router via ethernet. Agli altri Deco eventualmente presenti non viene associato alcun IP, ma è normale, visto che vengono gestiti in modo proprietario tramite tecnologia mesh. I protocolli fast roaming (IEEE 802.11r/k/v) fanno sì che la rete sia velocissima e praticamente senza alcun lag, anche se collegati all'ultimo nodo della rete. La configurazione è semplice e il risultato, in termini di uniformità copertura e velocità, è eccellente. Nulla a che vedere con i classici repeater. Nel mio caso specifico dovevo raggiungere un'altra abitazione, posta di fronte alla mia, ma separata da una via pubblica. Entrambi gli immobili costruiti con vecchi e spessi muri di pietra. Ho posizionato il Master, collegato via ethernet al router, vicino ad una finestra della prima abitazione e il secondo vicino ad una finestra della seconda abitazione. Il terzo deco l'ho posizionato in un ambiente interno, centrale, della seconda abitazione. La copertura nella seconda abitazione è ottima, stabile con segnale pieno in ogni stanza. Lo speed test non mostra alcuna differenza apprezzabile in termini di velocità di connessione in up o down e neppure in latenza, rispetto all'abitazione dotata di adsl. Prima usavo dei semplici repeater, ma il risultato era quanto mai imbarazzante, sia in termini di velocità che di affidabilità della connessione. Se ben posizionati credo siano - per il settore home per il quale sono pensati - una eccellente soluzione alle criticità delle coperture del wifi a punto singolo che si vedono spesso.
