Perfect fit on my 2012 F150. Easy install. Makes opening/ lowering tailgate easy!

15 min install, should have done this years ago. Easy to close too.
I have a 2005 F150 and my installation was a breeze and this is definitely a game changer. Some reviewers noted that there was resistance when closing the tailgate, that was not my experience at all. There is little to no resistance for me. I chose this over other versions because I did not want to deal with the expansion nut failing and then having to drill it out. This uses a proper backing nut so much less likely to fail. Honestly think I could have bought the cheaper one and come up with my own solution to get the nut down in there, if not almost being able to reach it by hand. For a few bucks extra this is easy and cheap enough though.

Great product!
It’s only been a few hours since install so not sure how long it will last yet. But it’s great so far! Easy to install, took me 5 minutes with all the right tools. Installed on my 2005 Ford F-150. Only thing I don’t like is the cord for the truck bed gets pushed out and may get smashed when shutting the tailgate because the shock is in the way. But this isn’t a manufacture fault. This is just how the tailgate is designed and how the product fits. Tailgate drops slowly as I wanted. It does not lift the tailgate up without you pushing it up. And the tailgate has to be brought up slowly. Can’t slam it shut. Just the way the shocks are. All in all it is a great product for the price!

You need to bend the bar so you can line up with the hole, other that that, it's a breeze. I wish there was an easy lift for the tailgate.

Installation on my Ford pickup was relatively simply. Fit and operation is great, the tailgate lowers down slowly on it own when unmatched, it longer slams down .

Very easy installation and works perfectly as expected. No difficulty with closing either. The best way to bend the nut jig is to use the hole where the latch is. I made both bends within seconds of finding that spot.

Very nicely packaged with everything you need except the socket and ratchet. the entire install took about 30 min. and works flawlessly

The bolt bar could come pre shaped. Seems odd to have to do that yourself. Otherwise very simple to install.
