Okay first things first, some people may unbox these and try them out only to find out that they suddenly disapoint because it starts making a scratchy or loud fuzzy noise, however do not worry because something I discovered on my own is that these speakers can not run off power directly from the usb on your computer. It is important that you use a usb brick connected directly into the wall to provide enough power for the speakers (The reason why the sound occurs). This will fix that annoying high pitched noise easily, but if you are expecting something to be portable then these speakers are not for you unless you have a sort of portable powerbank. The sound quality is reasonable for $8 (Currently the price) however I'm not sure about $20 for these you can probably find something that will sound better. You can't expect much from budget computer speakers so if you are on a tight budget then these are perfect.

All these comments talking about how the speakers buzz or hum or have static. This is caused by having the speakers powered by the same source as where the sound comes from, aka your pc, this causes a ground loop noise. Use a wall USB plug to power these speakers and it 100% cleared any static or buzz I had, and the buzz was bad before I stopped using my pc to power them and plugged them into a wall jack. after using an old cellphone USB wall jack to power the speakers the sound is clear and crisp and is the best 7 bucks spent. I could understand how this would be an issue with someone using these as portable laptop speakers but for my desktop that never moves, it works perfect.
