You can use it as a mit to scrub fruit and veggies or you can put small items inside to run through the faucet and gently scrub stuff like grapes, blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries. It is a great way to remove pesticides and keep the skin on your fruits and veggies before eating. It is pretty course so you can use it to scrub all the fuzz off your peaches and that layer of wax off your cucumbers. I love it and got 4 more because everyone wants one. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Working like it should! *by G***D on August 1, 2012* It's a simple little contraption: Put your veggie or fruit in and scrub off the nasties. I bought this in conjunction with a coir fiber veggie brush Coir Fiber Vegetable Brush 6 Inch to use with our weekly CSA basket of fresh fruits/veggies. We have a lot to get through washing/storing the day we get them and b/t these two tools and my collapsible spinner Progressive International CSS-1 Collapsible 5-Quart Salad Spinner...it's all quite easy. I use the coir brush for the tougher scrubbing (potatoes, carrots, radishes) and then use the scrub mitt for the berries and tomatoes, etc. I've always been a bit hesitant about what to do with berries and would previously stick them in a colander and sort of toss them around in water. This mitt makes me feel like I'm doing a better job at getting off any early molding/dirt from them sitting around on the farm or in wait. Also worked great for cleaning up apples!
