These stick best to bare skin. They can handle a light, sheer amount of water-based makeup and still stick. It will take extra effort to get them to stick to a light coating of water-based makeup. If you're planning on wearing oil-based makeup or pancake makeup, they're not going to stick. In that case, you should just paint your own Day of the Dead makeup on.
