works great for older 360 headsets with the 2.5 cable
I bought these to use with a much older turtle beach DX-12 optical headset to get chat functionality again. I bought 6 different cables for this purpose and all had a slight to major buzzing when plugged in. None of that with this cable. crystal clear chat. the cable is a bit frail feeling but it works for me.

It would be better if the base of the cable was easier to ...
It's a little ridiculous to spend such a large amount for this cable. It's durable, but it's very difficult sometimes trying to take the thing off when you are not using the headset. This caused me to pull more on the wire that is connected to the base of this cable and caused me to break the original cable that I had. It would be better if the base of the cable was easier to remove and it wasn't so expensive.

Eh barely worth the trouble
Worked great for about a month or two but seems as though the cable is very cheap and this new one I Purchased is already bad. The connection is lost fairly frequently and cuts off the headset entirely forcing me to mess with the cable until it responds again to the headset

Works with prior ASTRO MixAmp Pro
XB1 users, you CAN use your prior model ASTRO MixAmp Pro with this chat adapter. Connected instantly with my Sensheiser PC360 headset set up. So you don' t have to buy the newer XB1 mixamp.

Doesn’t Work
Swapped out the original cable with the new cable I purchased and it doesn’t work. Friends in party chat receive massive feedback and constant echo with the new cable. Swap in the original and no feedback. Honestly, doesn’t make much sense but pretty much a waste of money and also overpriced.

Needs to be redesigned
I've gone through three of these cables, and I'm not a heavy gamer. I play a few nights a week, and don't use my headset for long, and this cable still seems to wear out pretty quickly. It needs to be redesigned.
