KIBO 10 Robot Kit - Screen-Free, Playful, Creative Coding STEAM Robotics for Students Ages 4–7 – Introduces Hands-On Coding, Robotics, and Engineering

I have used KIBO in my classrooms since it was kickstarted back in 2014. I teach technology in elementary schools, and there is no other robotics platform that is as carefully thought out and developmentally appropriate for younger kids. I start my PreK students using KIBO early in the year. The wood in the robot as well as the blocks are familiar materials that build an easy pathway into using KIBO. The symbols on the coding blocks allow pre-literate students to easily communicate their ideas and build complex code. Even the clear underside of KIBO is intentional; students love looking inside and discovering the inner workings. The pieces are perfect for their stage of motor control. This really is the best robotics and programming platform for young children.
