Works well, creates a pretty high temperatures, although it does not had degrees gauge, there fore if you don't have thermometer, there is a lot of guessing game going on.

Char broil like so many manufacturers change parts in their products willy hilly every few years. Therefore they no longer sold this part despite selling a near indentical smoker. Not to be cynical, but it appears to be forced obsolescence. I bought this generic one in my 5 year old smoker and it works lije a champ. Half the price of the official one at that.

Product works but it doesn't get to the 450F as advertised. Tops out at around 200-225F.

I have a cheap Char broil H2O smoker. The heating element went out so I bought this to replace it. It wasn't a perfect fit but close enough. It regulates the temperature perfectly.

Used for homemade smoker, works great. Only needs 120 volt standard outlet and has a nice little knob to adjust temp

I bought this as a replacement for my Masterbuilt vertical smoker. Needed to drill a couple of holes and insert some new bolts to hold it in place but no big deal. Controlling temperature on this while smoking was no easier than it was on the OEM element, but I think that's just the nature of a non-digital vertical smoker. Ended up selling the whole works and buying a pellet grill.

Worked better than my original. Had to modify the fit as it wasn't an exact fit. It works just had to do some Jimmy rigging
