The Micro HD and HD+ can only be used with constant LED video lights since it has no way of triggering a strobe unit. **Q: does it complatible with meikon housings ??** A: Yes this is compatible with Meikon housings. You may need to get a different sync cord, however. **Q: I am replacing a sea life sl960 that i use with a d600 camera/housing. is this a suitable replacement?** A: I purchased this flash and it flooded 1st trip. Sea life rrplaced but if you do not take every precaution it will flood. Salt water kills all. I finally decided to purchase my own after having great success and improvement with my photos. The housing is well made and holds a water tight seal quite well. I'ev just returned from a week on the Aqua Cat... doing 25 dives in all. I used the heck out of the flash and can report that the flash worked great. SeaLife is a quality name and offers a quality product. I coupled this with the diffuser with great success.I would recommend this to any diver looking to augment their DC series underwater camera. ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars Pieace of crap *by R***D on Reviewed in the United States on May 2, 2016* Piece of junk, I purchased for my Philippine dive trip along with a dc sealife 1400 camera and both flooded first dive. The waterproof latch is not waterproof. I followed instruction manual to the letter. It say use no silicone grease and my dive guide told me this will flood no matter he had seen this product many times flood. The camera flooded at 11 1/2 feet. They want me to send to sealife but do not want anymore of their products. They will replace once then after that you have no money and a paper weight. I have Olympus camera and this strobe only flashes at P setting. I use my camera on underwater settings, but then this strobe does not work.
