I got a good one!
I wanted the two-tone classic and low-cost homage to the Rolex Submariner from Invicta to add to my collection. I was concerned though about the potential quality issues that others have highlighted over the years - Loose crown, rough crown threads, misaligned bezel, bezel backlash, cyclops misaligned, poor regulation and no water resistance. I am happy to report that I have had none of those on this particular watch. The bezel is nice and tight, but easily rotatable. The backlash is almost unnoticeable and the bezel lines up with the indices to within 1/4 of a second. The crown is not loose, the threads are smooth and easy to engage, and there's a satisfying pop when the crown releases. In a glass of water, the watch is waterproof with the crown fully screwed. I do not intend to intentionally get it wet, however. . The regulation is about +10s over 24 hours with the watch initially fully wound, face up and still. Well within the NH35a movement specs, though twice that of my Orient Symphony IV. . The lume sucks big time but that is a known flaw with this watch and expected and accepted. The lume lasts but a few minutes even when fully charged. . I was prepared to return the Invicta if any of the typical problems were present but this is a keeper! On the wrist it has the looks far beyond its actual cost. My wife has a 38mm quartz Invicta and that is actually a good one too. . I have a 7.25" wrist, and the strap, when adjusted to fit snugly on my lower arm just above the bone (2 links removed and on the third micro-adjustment), it is a squeeze to get the strap over my large hand. . Interestingly, the box was just a plain, yellow Invicta box with a plain, slide-over lid section. A simple white pillow inside, the dimensions of the box, with an instruction manual but no warranty certificate. The watch was new and fully wrapped in the protective films on the strap and crystal. The rotor on the NH35a movement does not have the classic yellow Invicta sticker. It's plain steel with some tiny engraving of the movement type. I like that and hoped that was what I would receive. The yellow label is gaudy in my opinion. I'd seen that Invicta had taken some cost reduction measures with the rotor and box, and that was what I received. Cool! . Considering the Rolex this homages costs over $16,000, I'm very pleased with the quality of my $70 Invicta. Not as well spec'd out as my San Martin homage with its gorgeous, blue, Mother of Pearl dial, but that cost 3 times the Invicta and has the same NH35a movement. Both look far above their actual price, though the Invicta is actually the better value. . I hope your Invicta turns out as good and recommend you try one out.

Great Watch
I have to say that this is my second Invicta and I am very pleased. I don't care for most of the large Invicta's that the brand is known for, but these pro diver's are right on the money. At around 40mm it's average size and will carry well on most men. It happens to be the same dimensions as the Rolex Submariner and in my opinion it looks just as nice! The watch showed up packed nicely in an Amazon box, inside was a white cardboard box surrounded by bubble wrap. When I opened the white I found the Invicta yellow clamshell box. The first thing I noticed was how well the watch was wrapped, every part was covered in either clear or blue plastic. the face and case back window were covered as well. even through the plastic I could see the watch shining. I unwrapped it which took a bit and I was blown away. The looks of this watch are incredible in fact I would say stunning. The coin edge bezel is beautiful gold and each notch catches the light and draws your eye to it. The clasp on the band is all stainless but that's it. everything else is two tone. the face is a nice deep black with gold accents and it has the Mercedes hour hand. One of the nicest things in my opinion is the "Invicta" second hand, It's so well done. The movement is the NH35A which keeps great time and is a winding hacking movement. The only two things I could say that weren't perfect is the band feels just a little on the light side but still 8 out of 10. Secondly, there was a very small and I mean almost microscopic scratch on the end links, yes "links" both of them had a scratch. that being said it is so small that even if I paid $1000.00 for this watch I wouldn't return it for that. This is an absolutely beautiful piece and if your considering it, do not even hesitate it's gorgeous and worth every penny

Impressive Durability for an Affordable Watch
I purchased this watch due to the homage look of the submariner and the fact that this watch was not pretending to be a fake rolex with one letter off. This was suppose to be a dress watch for the occasion but ended up becoming my daily driver. The time keeping mechanism is also suppose to be above average for accuracy from what im told. I have been wearing this watch for nearly 6 months. I have changed my oil and worked on my car forgetting to take this off on multiple occasions and it has held up very well. I posted the two pictures without cleaning it first to show what it looks like for every day wear. You can only see scratches in direct light at an angle, and this is not cleaned. Otherwise this watch is very impressive for the beating and use and will last a very long time if taken care of better than me. I will definitely be trying some of the smaller invicta watches.

not a five year warranty
i bought this watch about two weeks ago. so far it has kept perfect time and it looks good. the biggest concern i have is the warranty. it claims on the web site to have a 5-year extended warranty. when i got the watch it said i have a one year, but can purchase an additional amount based on the suggested retail price.so my interpretation is it will cost you $45 for the 5-year. it will also cost $28 for them to return the watch as well as the purchaser being responsible for sending it in. basically, the warranty seems worthless to me. the other problem i have with it is that the stem/crown feels less than durable. my previous dive watches have all had a substantial feel to the stem/crown when winding the watch. this feels more like my land only watches. perhaps technology has progressed, perhaps this is a weak point. i simply do not know. those are the only points i took off for though i have a couple of other points. you almost certainly will need to remove a link or two from the band. it is easy to do and if you haven't done it before, there are a number of excellent videos showing how. lastly, this has an exhibition back. i did not know what that was. i assumed room for engraving as a presentation or something. it isn't. it is a plastic "see into the mechanism" back. i did not want this and the specs said "stainless steel". when i looked into returning it, i found that the other watches i had been considering were also "exhibition back" so i kept it. summary: good looking watch that is keeping good time, so far. watch band is easy to size if needed. i think that the stem may be a weak spot and i think that the 5-year warranty claim is misleading.

Invicta Men's 8927OB Pro Diver Watch keeps accurate time, runs well!
Invicta Men's 8927OB Pro Diver Analog Display Japanese Automatic Two Tone Watch. It's a nice piece of machinery that could pass as art. This is my third Invicta watch since 2013. I have a Grand Diver bought then that I use for special occasions and still runs great. the other Diver I beat up over the years and still runs great. The 8927OB is an economical piece, nothing fancy, but the crystal and the two tone steel bracelet and gold bezel makes it stand out!

Great watch part two
I’ve had this watch for about 6 months and I really like it. I work in a busy restaurant and it takes a fair amount of abuse on a daily basis. It’s tough and accurate enough for the kitchen, and nice enough for the dining room. I get compliments on it regularly from the guests. It keeps good time and it still looks brand new. For the price, if it does eventually get beat up, I will get another one. The bracelet is hearty enough even without being solid stainless steel. It has good weight without being overbearing. I had three links removed when I got it and its fits quite well. Great watch! Three years later… Man! I put my first one through the winger! Working in a busy restaurant really tests the metal of this watch. 3 years of washing dishes, cooking, scrubbing, food running, and prep work didn’t slow the first one down. However the crown finally stripped and I lost the waterproof capability, so it was time for a new one. If I had a Rolex subbie I wouldn’t have worn it under the conditions that I put the first Invicta through. Even after that it still looked nice and functioned as it should have. The new one looks great and is just like my first one was when it was brand new. Here’s to 3 more hard usage years!

Beautiful, great value watch.
I am quite impressed with this watch for the price. Is this the nicest watch I own? no, but it looks fantastic and that is what I was trying to achieve with this watch. Watchband- the band I am going to be honest is very lightweight and feels quite cheap. Bezel- The best part of the bezel is it doesn't spin when you don't want it to like many other watches out there. It does a great job of staying right at the twelve o'clock position. Gold ion plating- I am very impressed with this. I put off buying this watch for months because I figured a week later the gold would have all rubbed off. The ion plating process is more of a chemical reaction than just simply coating it in gold as I understood it per my research. I have already scratched the band on the gold section, and it still looks like gold! Time keeping- For less than $100 can I really complain too much? probably not, but this watch has been gaining 45 seconds or more per day, when you compare that to the swiss made badge of no more than 3 seconds per day it sounds fairly bad. But I bought this watch for looks more than anything so I will keep the 5 stars and considering the value you can't go wrong.
