Will this adhere to powder coated steel? I have a smooth black railing. Would love a color

Is the surface glossy? If glossy I would lightly sand then wash, prime and then at least a couple coats of paint. If it’s not glossy I would clean it well then prime and at least 2 coats of paint. I used to work in the paint department of a lumberyard and learned a lot about the importance of proper paint prep. It makes a huge difference. It may take longer but it will save you a lot of work down the road as your paint job will hold up much, much longer.

wouldn't it be a HUGE time-saving help to shoppers if they had drop-down menu of colors, texture, finish?

If you want a better selection of paints i would just order from home depo or walmart... on amazon this stuff gets upwards of 50$ a can for no reason.

Would you recommend this paint for bathroom faucets?

I would not recommend it. I have had trouble with it peeling and chipping off prematurely. I used it on a swing which is in an outdoor covered environment. It seems it just doesn't adhere very well.

Can this be used on a rock wall outside?

I don’t know. I used it on metal after a prime coat. I “wonder” if a person used a masonry primer if it could be used over that, since I’m sure rock is considered porous.
