These are great replacements for an older Black and Decker weed eater. OEM replacements are no longer available.

I waited to post a review of these B&D 18v batteries. Though, normally the original batteries that came with my tools (drill/driver, leaf blower, weed trimmer/edger and pole chainsaw) all had 2 contacts these new batteries have 3 but do not interfere with fitting in my tools. So far so good. Next is run time. WOW! Weed trimmer/edger was first to get the test. I used it to actually mow down a patch of grass and ground ivy right to the dirt measuring 36' x 16'. Then proceeded to trim around the house and 2 car garage, finally getting to mow under my grape arbor and battery #1 started losing power. Total runtime for first battery: 54 minutes. My original batteries would take 4 charges to get all that done. I started using the second battery to finish the arbor area. 6 minutes. Next project was the pole saw. So far, I have trimmed out 2 maple trees and cut up some 4" and less branches for firewood. I estimate 40 minutes of runtime and still have full torque. These batteries have proven, so far, to be a great purchase.

These work great, but the the life of the battery per charge is a little less than I was hoping for. When they run out of power, it goes fast.

Bought this for my Black & Decker battery run mini chainsaw. All my batteries wouldn’t charge any longer. Got these and the saw started right up. Charged up quickly as well. I’m very happy with these batteries. Highly recommend.

I have always hesitated to try knockoff batteries, but the name brands have gotten so costly that I decided to give it a go I was pleasantly surprised to find that these batteries hold a pretty decent charge. After putting them to heavy use all season, I did notice that their battery life will likely be a bit less than their big name counterparts, but it's still pretty darn good in the long run. Surprisingly, I found that I prefer sacrificing a small bit of performance in exchange for a few extra bucks in my wallet. When you need replacement batteries for lawn / power equipment, I recommend giving these batteries a try.

Was a bit leery as I only had the old two prong batteries and charger (from about 2012). Battery came partially charged as it did not take long (even with the old slow two-prong charger) to charge it up. Works great. When I engaged the old B&D trimmer with the new battery, I haven't heard it run that fast in years. Has added a lot of extra power to my old trimmer to what I got use to with the old batteries.
