Excellent Choice... if it's on sale
This is my first time trying Geetech filament. I needed a good fossil/bone color for some prints I am making for an upcoming birthday party, and my wife and I liked this color the most. I grabbed it during Prime Day for $10 off, so I was willing to take a chance. The spool is noticeably more narrow than what I am used to. I actually checked the box again to make sure I really ordered a 1 kg roll. Even with the smaller profile, it worked fine in my AMS HT, so no concern there. The next question was how well it would print. I have run several prints using the standard Bambu PLA profile and the results have been solid. No adhesion issues, no stringing problems, and the overall finish looks good. The bone color is excellent. The dinosaur fossils I have printed so far look great and match the theme perfectly. At the price I paid ($14.52), this filament is a very good buy. The current price is $24. At $24 I would probably pass, not because the filament is bad, but because there are many filaments in this range that perform just as well. If you catch it at the right price, it is absolutely worth picking up.

Gold (in bundle) is garbage, Other gold is amazing
EDIT: The seller contacted me, refunded me, and even sent me a spool of a different gold they have. This gold is AMAZING. The best gold I've used so far. It looks the most like real gold and printed fantastically. I have included a picture of the new GOOD gold. The seller should remove the 3-pack since it seems to be a completely different product. OLD REVIEW about the gold/silver/copper pack which appears to be a totally different product: Absolute garbage. I don't know if other people are using a different gold because their pictures look great and the gold looks like a different color. I have the gold + silver + copper bundle. I've only tried the gold but man is it bad. The layer adhesion is so bad. It looks like an old stretched out slinky. My first print did immediately detached from the plate, which I haven't had happen in 50+ prints. After that, my print failed part-way through because a piece fell off. Even if it hadn't, I'd still throw it away (see my pic). I printed a third time and it was hardly passable. I tried changing several settings to make it work. Only minor improvements each time. I even tested printing the exact same thing with another PLA silk filament and it looks far better. Don't get the bundle and be wary of any of the other products.

Impressive Shiny Finish and Stunning Aesthetic Utility
I ordered this metallic-look printing material for myself as a fun, creative project to whip up a series of custom trophies for an upcoming soccer viewing event. I really wanted them to have that authentic, high-end, tournament-winning feel without having to deal with expensive paint jobs or post-processing work, and finding a filament with a natural, reflective sheen seemed like the perfect shortcut. It has completely transformed my printing queue, turning standard, blocky designs into eye-catching, sophisticated-looking awards that genuinely look fantastic when displayed on a shelf. The absolute best feature regarding the quality and daily usefulness of this material is how incredibly forgiving it is when printing complex, curved geometries. Because it possesses a slightly silkier, more fluid nature than standard, matte plastics, it hides layer lines exceptionally well, allowing you to achieve a smooth, high-gloss surface finish right off the print bed. This provides fantastic utility for anyone aiming to produce decorative display pieces, as the natural light-play on the finished surface makes even simple, functional prints look like premium, professionally manufactured metal collectibles. The only functional drawback to keep in mind is that the very same silkiness that provides such a beautiful finish also makes the material significantly more prone to poor layer adhesion if your temperature settings aren't dialed in perfectly. Because it lacks the raw, biting friction of a standard matte plastic, it can be quite finicky with tall, thin structures or parts with large overhangs, often requiring you to slow your print speed down significantly to ensure the layers fuse strongly. It produces an undeniably stunning visual result, but you should definitely plan on running a few calibration test prints to find the exact "sweet spot" for heat and extrusion flow before you commit to printing a large or complex trophy.

Not as "chromey" as the picture. READ UPDATE!
*UPDATE: I upgraded from 3 to 5 stars based on their customer support. I gave this product a 3 with the explanation below. They responded quickly through Amazon and were sincerely concerned with my issues. They made an offer and suggestion that I did not expect, and was pleasantly surprised by. They said they would contact manufacturing and would resolve the issues. GREAT customer support! The product printed perfectly fine. I just had an issue with the final finish - so I will definitely buy filament from Geeetech again! Unless there are better settings, my X1C prints are not as pretty or shiny as the picture. It printed with layers that had different shades. Maybe with an acetone vapor bath it may look better, but I wasn't overly impressed. The bottom (contact with plate) layer, however, looks fantastic. I didn't bother to dry it, but it printed just fine with no stranding or clogging. It's good quality filament, but the finish is underwhelming.

A good aesthetically pleasing filament, the color is great. Prints okay with a few minor caveats
When it prints right it looks great! I have printed many awesome things with this first try. Only issue is it seems slightly too brittle and hard to print for any fine detail prints which is a shame since I planned on using the gold for small halos on top of an angel figure. The best print i got has a variation in thickness of 1mm which is alot But that geometry without supports isn't super easy for any filaments. It doesn't have the best layer adhesion, i brushed the one in the photos slightly too hard and the halo broke off towards the bottom where i ended up superglueing it back. The Halo was maybe twice the thickness of spaghetti but even easier to crumble. Definitely not an amazing filament for printing small details like a halo but great for ones without the small details The photo of the angel is after doing every calibration print I could, making sure it was completely dry and probably my 10th-15th try, which was my best one BTW Geeetech is an amazing company though that cares about its customers and providing the best products, they contacted me on their own terms about my struggles with printing the halo and listened to my feedback. They passed along my concerns to the factory where they will see about fixing the issues i had and ensure they are selling the best products they can as well as made sure they did everything they could to compensate me for the trouble i had with the filament without me having to ever ask. you can trust that if you order from them they will do everything they can to make sure your experience is good so you don't ever have to worry when buying from them.

Excellent Quality Silk PLA – Smooth, Shiny, and Reliable
I’ve been really impressed with the Geeetech Silk PLA filament. The metallic gold finish looks fantastic right off the printer, with a smooth, glossy shine that gives prints a premium, almost metal-like appearance. The filament feeds consistently with no tangling or clogging, and the dimensional accuracy is spot on. I’ve had clean, detailed prints with strong layer adhesion and minimal stringing. It’s also been very easy to work with, even on longer prints. Overall, this is a great choice if you’re looking for a reliable silk PLA that produces eye-catching results without a lot of hassle. I’ll definitely be purchasing more colors from this brand.

Extremely disappointed
I honestly will no longer purchase from this brand. It messed up numerous prince that I tried to make. Everything came out blotchy or stringy, and somehow it actually ended up messing up my heating plate. I normally use bambu labs or sunlu, but they were out of the gold that I needed, and this was the perfect tone of gold. I gave it one more shot and was trying to create dragon eggs for a customer nine hours of me working on this project and it completely destroyed. Everything string started going everywhere. It started coming out in clumps and clogged my machine. It messed up my printing plate let alone it messed up nine hours of work! I am completely upset! I have been 3-D praying for a very long time and I have used plenty of different filament. But this one is very cheaply made. It seems like. And it does not like to adhere to the plate very well at all. I don’t know if it’s because the delivery driver left it out in the rain or if it’s just crappy filament. But I am completely mortified at this point, I really would like to give the seller another shot. Because I’m really hoping maybe I just got a bad batch. But at this point, I am just fuming! Maybe the seller will reach out to me and fix things if so, I will leave an update… now that I have to buy a new plate and figure out how I’m gonna print three dragging eggs for a customer that takes nine hours by 6 AM… yay! FYI there was much more string everywhere that I had to clean up and didn’t get a chance to take a picture of all of that. But here is some of it. Also, for some reason, it purges out very, very, very, very big clumps, compared to any other silk I’ve ever used.

Beautiful rainbow filament
Beautiful color, works great! I was concerned at first because it snapped in our first attempt, but I’m a newbie at printing and the tension was way too tight on my machine. Nice that was sorted, is been perfect. My project is coming out beautifully!

great filament
GEEETECH is my go to PLA but never tried matte but have had some problems with painting prints and Matte was suggested as a good base for painted prints . The print quality is great as expected but with out the shine so when painting the pant actual took to the print rather than "pooling"

リールの直径が大きい
一般的なフィラメントのリールに比べ、リールの直径が大きい為、BambuLabのX1のABSのケースに収まらず使えませんでした。。最悪です。
