Nice but needs work
Nice set of diamond files. I use them to sharpen my Bonsai tools. My only wish was that they cement the plastic handles onto the file for a better grip

Good quality - excellent deal
These are quite nice, actually. The dimensions are a little off in the copy, but not by much. Overall length is 8 1/2", diamond length is 3 1/8", width is 7/16 or 11mm rather than 1/2", and thickness is 3mm or just under 1/8" rather than the 5mm stated. Files are sturdy, straight and flat (the coated area and handle being raised). The diamond coating is on all four sides and the tip, as if it were dipped - I mention this as sometimes it's useful to have one edge smooth on a file, though of course the edges coated are useful as well. The grit consistency appears to be uniform and consistent with the spec'd grade. The grade is not marked on the individual files, but that's easily rectified with a felt tip marker. The included vinyl pouch is workable though a bit chintzy - I almost mistook it for packaging as it was stuck to the cardboard. In very fine print on the package it reminds one to use with water or lubricant as one should not use these dry (as with most diamond files)..

Fit for purpose
Works very well

Great for craft projects with glass and for sharpening scissors.
Great for rounding glass sharp edges. Still trying to figure out which grit to use. To help identify each one I cut out the list from the package and taped it to the holder (see photo).

Excellent value for the price
These diamond files have large abrasive surfaces and long handles, so they are comfortable for someone with average to large hands to use. The set fills a gap I have always had in my tool collection. I expect them to work well for initial sharpening of knives and other tools, for filing welds on steel assemblies, working with glass, ceramics, or stone materials. They provide a very wide range of grit from #40 to #600. The manufacturer paid much more attention to making these files useful rather than beautiful, which is fine for someone like me who plans to actually use them frequently. The plastic dipping on the handles is a little inconsistent, and the included case is flimsy but it should keep the abrasive surfaces from damaging each other. The set can be rolled up for storage.

Not great. Depends on what you need them to do.
The most coarse file of the six has clearly been coated with its diamond abrasive unevenly and displays a ridge along the long edge. This means it will not cut properly across a flat surface unless the file itself is placed against a grinder and the raised edge eliminated. This characteristic improves as one progresses toward the finest grit file, which appears suitable. This set is inexpensive enough that the price of even one fine grit file of high quality might cost the same, so if you mainly want a fine grit file like I did, it isn’t necessarily a waste of money. That said, the quality of the set as a whole is compromised and I would not take pride in it if I were the manufacturer. Do such things as pride in workmanship matter any more? Frankly, my expectations weren’t that high anyway. I just needed a decent fine cut file and hoped some of the others would be of some use.
