This company that makes Pro Optic areds2 are great. I called the company to place an order and I actually spoke to the owner of the company. In this day and age that personalized customer service just doesn't happen. They were so friendly and helpful and the pills are natural and made by hand. I am battling Retina Macular Degeneration in my left eye. I am responding well to the treatments and taking the Pro Optic areds2 and have regained over 70% of my sight back in my left eye and the site in my other eye is improving also. I really love my Doctor who knows exactly what to do and how to treat this disease. It was Dr. Staman that recommended the Pro Optic areds2 to me and they really help. I was told 4 years ago that I might be in the early stages of macular degeneration. I discovered that many of the eye vitamin products contain soy, to which I am allergic. The only other one I found which did not contain soy said I needed to take somewhere between 6 and 8 capsules a day. Then I found Pro Optic areds 2 formula. So far my eyes have not deteriorated at all taking one capsule every morning. Great product.

I’m 73 years old and am allergic to red dye, when my eye doctor recommended another pill to take for a spot on my eye I had to find an alternative and he was impressed with my next eye appointment results…my eye prescription had not changed and the spot hadn’t either.

This product was suggested by my retina specialist - I was diagnosed with age-related macular degeneration 3 years ago and have been using the AREDS formula ever since. While there are similar products on the market, you should consider that this one has a larger dose of lutein than some of them. The capsules are not tiny, so if you have swallowing issues you might want to look at the size of similar products. The only things missing are anti-oxidants, which a few other products do have. I do not believe this or any other vitamin product will cure my A.RM., but I hope it will slow down its progression, and the vitamins included in the AREDS formula are beneficial to everyone, according to studies I have read about.
