I have a 3 hole sink. Will this mount onto it properly?

The hot and cold water lines run through the center. If you have a three hole opening then the bottom attachment plate is used to cover up the two outside holes as they will not be used.

The nozzle is a hard plastic the rest is metal

Does it have a pause or you have to open and close the water from the handle?

The spray head of this black gold faucet has no pause function, only spray, stream and sweep functions. You have to be able to control the opening and closing by the handle, thank you
