A strong and light case for long or international trips
The Tumi T-Tech is not the most expensive luggage out there, but it is certainly at least twice the price of a soft-side case of this size made by Samsonite or American Tourister. Whether it is worth its price is a rather subjective judgment. For me, it is a good buy. The polycarbonate case is much more durable and resistant to damage than the cheaper hard-side cases made from ABS, which is brittle and can be shattered/punctured if dropped or jammed by the corner or another piece of luggage. The case is truly distinctive and would never be confused by another traveler unless he happened to own this exact same piece. In addition, the textured surface will make this case very resistant to scratches which show. The exterior dimensions are absolutely true, and they include the wheels. The case is light enough that when packed with clothes you will safely stay under international flight weight restrictions. The TSA accessible lock system for the zipper is a nice feature. By the way, the case comes with the zipper secured in the lock and no instructions on how to unlock it. The factory combination is 000 - set the lock to this position and squeeze the side latch to open the case. Once you open the lock, you will find the instructions on how to open the lock on the inside! Cute! The hard-side case has two big advantages over soft-side from my perspective: if the case gets left out in the rain on the tarmac, your contents will stay dry. And, given that the size of this case means that you will have to check it, you can be confident that the case will provide much better protection for the contents than would a soft-side.Now about interior capacity. It's a very adequate case for a two-week trip (assuming you will launder socks and underwear at least once or twice) and you could probably do a three-week trip if you are a disciplined packer and don't care about being a fashion plate while you're on the road. Here's a sample of what will fit: seven pair of underwear and socks, four pair of pants, five shirts, a blazer/suit coat, two non-bulky sweaters, pajamas, a spare set of shoes, and a smaller-size dopp kit. With these contents you will be able to easily zip the bag closed. Any more than that and you will be stretching the limits of the zipper. There are no interior pockets, but the case does include a suit bag you can use to limit wrinkling if you bring along a suit coat. And the biggest selling points of this case: it is amazingly light, the wheels work easily - even on carpet, and the handle is really strong. The cons: as a hard-side case, there are no exterior pockets for TSA access items like your liquid toiletry items or your boarding pass. This also means that you do not have a place you can easily shove your cell phone, wallet, belt, watch, etc., when you go through security screening. With this Tumi case you really do need to have a personal briefcase or boarding bag in which to stuff those items. If the cons are not a deal-killer for you, you will probably be very pleased with the Tumi T-Tech medium-sized case.

attractive, easy to spot suitcase.
Very attractive, easy to spot. Not sure I like the "book" opening which does not work on luggage racks. No pockets.Surprised how efficiently I could pack this case so I did not miss my huge suitcase. Nice and light.

They honor their commitments and make a great product.
Get Briggs & Riley instead. They honor their warranties. Since TUMI stopped honoring their lifetime warranty - I didn't know a company could do that...just arbitrarily decide it wasn't going to honor its lifetime warranty and instead just give $50 gift cards "for your inconvenience" - I'm on a one person crusade to tell everyone to stay away. I will never - never - buy another TUMI product and I hope someone at some manages a class action suit. It's clear that someone at the top decided that honoring their quality commitments to their long-time customers was no longer necessary. For my money, it's Briggs & Riley all the way. They honor their commitments and make a great product.

Cracked
Had two, both outer shells cracked after two years. It's too brittle.

Clean, cool look
Still in search of the perfect suitcase, but this is a good item. Tumi products are always well done. It has a nice clean look and carried everything I needed on a recent trip to Asia.

Perfect for tall travelers! 7'1" here, love it!
Amazingly light and durable. I am loving TUMI products. Bought my mom one for Christmas and I haven't even traveled with this one yet. Tall men pay attention, I am 7'1" and I can roll this without bending over!!! The three position handle raises to an amazingly comfortable height for someone of my stature. The 360 degree rolling action is smooth and effortless!

Definitely worth the money!
Tumi has done an excellent job on this piece of luggage. I like hardside luggage, and this is well made and has a classic look. The inside is also great, with one side with a zipper compartment and the other side with straps that contain whatever I pack. I just took a trip this past week and I am very pleased.

Awesome Suitcase, stands out and does it's job
I love this suitcase, it stands out in a baggage claim, and it really is good looking. While traveling from Paris to London, I did get stopped at the customs area because the mechanism that raises and lowers the handle set off the Xray system. The wheels and ability to move it 360* without having to pick it up and change directions is really a great benefit.
