Is it ok to get that wet when cleaning** A: Yes the booklet says it can be washed, the only thing you can't wash is the base it plugs into. However I don't put mine in the dishwasher and when I wash it I don't let it sit in water. Like my old George Foreman I find its easier to clean if I put wet paper towels on the grills surface while its still hot and shut the lid, this steams off a lot of the baked on marinade I use... **Q: Is this non stick?** A: yes it's non stick. I use it all the time and there is no stick for me. **Q: Is the heating element close to meat?
