Works with PAL SNES, works with capture card and OBS
I have connected my PAL region SNES to a StarTech USB3HDCAP capture device using this cable and can now record gameplay using OBS. This is exactly what I needed Note: The signal it sends is 1280x720@60fps. This isn't a problem in itself but your video output may be smaller than the available space (black borders on all sides of the video). Set your capture device to "Fill" instead of "Fit" and that should solve the problem. The Hyperkin has a 4:3/16:9 switch on it to adjust to your display so that can also help out Also, PAL and NTSC are further subdivided into countries and continents. My SNES is specifically "PAL I" which is usually for the United Kingdom. Bear this in mind when purchasing as Hyperkin mentions the cable may or may not work in some PAL regions

Did not work
If you live in England, likely this won’t work at all. I used 2 consoles and 2 different tv and had no luck with either. The small print in the description saying it may not work isn’t really good enough

Doesn't work most of the time.
Rubbish converter, half the time when I actually manage to get a signal it keeps cutting out repeatedly the other half of the time it gets stuck on no signal screen with no work around to it, waste of money don't buy.

A perfectly acceptable solution to play your SNES/N64/GameCube on your modern TV
I have to say I'm quite impressed with how this cable works on my N64 and GameCube. It works right out of the box, as long as you plug in the included USB cable to a power source. It makes the wiring a little more chaotic to keep perfectly organized, but it's a small compromise. In terms of picture quality, it's certainly better than when I plug in my regular composite cables, but it's not as nice as a proper HDMI mod or the very expensive component cables. The picture is a bit sharper and there's no input lag. Colours are a tiny bit washed out, but that can usually be corrected by changing the picture settings on your TV (worked for me). Don't expect a super high fidelity image; it's basically just a small step up from your component cables, with the added benefit of working seamlessly on a modern TV that may have trouble interpreting the composite signal. I recommend keeping the setting switch on the cable to 4:3 instead of 16:9 as that just stretches the image and makes it look objectively worse. Get used to the black bars on the side of your screen; that's the actual output aspect ratio. If you're looking for the best value solution to getting a high-quality image on your TV with your GameCube specifically, I recommend the Carby HDMI adapter. It's approximately $75 and outputs quality equal or better than the component cables (much better than composite). There are no such inexpensive solutions for the N64; this is the most affordable HDMI solution available. That said, if you're not super picky, these cables do the job quite well and you probably won't be disappointed.

Cumple su función
Llegó un día antes de lo esperado, el producto funciona bien en Nintendo GameCube, en el caso del N64, la imagen se ve con ruido, supongo que es normal pues NO es un escalador de imagen. Quedo satisfecho con la compra
