Using this upcut bit for box joints in my router table. Nice a clean cuts so far.

This is a hefty bit, and it really chewed through some big pine posts that I made into fence posts. SPETool has become my go to for affordable but quality router bits.

I bought the 1/2in bit to make box joints. It worked very well. I also used it for half-lapping cabinet door frames. I got most of the way through my project before the bit dulled to the point where it no longer cut the wood. But, it's a cheap bit, so you expect that to happen. It worked for hundreds, if not thousands of passes through the wood. I don't hold it against the bit. In fact, I'm buying another in order to finish this project. Now, my project was softwood. So, if you're doing hardwood, keep in mind that a heartier bit may be necessary.

Just made my first cut using a circle jig. Clean cuts - sharp bit. Nice and stable to the full plunge depth of my router using 1/8 - 1/4 inch increments.

Extra deep and worked well for the mortises. Sharp!

Excellent sharpness will review again after some time in use. Limits tear out on hard woods, need to evaluate after using on softer woods.

I use this in my plunge router to make mortises, and also in my router table when it is set up as a jointer. It makes perfectly smooth cuts with no burning in both cases. Highly recommended.

Leaves a beautiful clean edge.

Can’t fault it, has work perfectly for our purpose. Finding cnc router bits in Australia isn’t the easiest so to find this and at the price, really can’t complain.
