It works as an OTG cable to allow my phone to read external memory sticks and with an inline HDMI to USB converter to view incoming video on my phone, so it ticks all the boxes, electrically speaking. Physically speaking though, it's over-built to the point where you might have trouble squeezing it into tight socket spaces or bending it round tight corners. Indeed this actively *resists* bending in certain directions so more suited for permanent, fixed-position installations and less suitable for low-profile, portable applications where flexibility is important.

High quality link between USB-A and USB-C. I use mainly on a Mac-laptop without USB-A ports, nit with a number of bits that cannot be attached otherwise.

Works perfectly

It was a Prime delivery and I got it the day after ordering. I bought a MacBook Air that was a similar colour. It had two USB 3 ports and I wanted to use a 2TBit mini hard drive as a Time Machine backup disc. It was plug and play and I first transferred a huge file from the disc to the laptop which was a very good transfer rate. Having a USB 3 port on a 2017 iMac as well I did the same using another mini disc. Again file transfer time was excellent and accurate. The setup and backup on both machines was excellent using the two cords. Excellent value for money, appear to be robust and look good. Well done the manufacturer.

I decided to buy some of these as an alternative to the SYNTECH brand favoured by Amazon. The build quality appears to be superior and they have proved to be more reliable in that there are no dropouts if you accidentally so much as touch the wire. Also the manufacturing tolerances must be better because the plugs seem to fit the USB C sockets more securely (without there having to be a struggle to push them in and get them out). Well worth the extra pound or two in price.
