It is definitely rugged and offers good protection. The two things I don't like about it are1. the openings for ports and control buttons are really small and hard to access with adult fingers2. while the base of the case is designed to allow you to stand it up on a surface, its not stable and easily topples over. We were a little skeptical because of the price difference between the two, but have found this one to work just as well. We love how the handles make it easy for the little ones to carry around, how it stands on its own for viewing videos/movies and how we don't have to hold our breathe whenever the iPad is dropped (which, with little ones, happens often). We've had this case now for over a year and it is in great condition and most importantly, our iPad is also in great condition despite the numerous drops. We don't even have a screen protector on it but this alone has prevented any mishaps from happening to our iPad mini. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good case.
