Superb book
This is the perfect story to read to kindergarten students. It is fun and informative. They retain the information because Max is interesting. After reading this, they get to be explorers too.

cute book for younger kids
A boy ends up getting his friend interested in magnets. Its a rhyming story that has technical info about magnets thrown in. Its definitely intended to be educational. Not what I was expecting. My son is 7, is very into magnets right now after learning about them in school, and his name is Max, so I thought it'd be a fun book. But it didn't hold his attention. We read the book once and he was bored with it. I think the story is better for younger kids, and as a learning tool. I would recommend it for kids 6 and under.

Highly recommend for an early childhood class room.
I was looking for a book about magnets for my prek3 class. I found only informational text until I saw Magnet Max on Amazon. My kids really love this book! They all sit in silence while I read it. I think it really relates to a child's first interaction with magnets. They think it is magic! I would highly recommend this book, especially if you are doing lessons on magnets. Good, colorful illustrations as well. Just right for 3-5 year olds.

Awesome
I am a kinder teacher and wanted a read aloud for my magnet science/reading theme. I used the skill for prediction and this book was perfect. I read half one day and the other half the next. I assigned a prediction question for my students. They loved it! It was a great way to start my magnet experiment activity.

Lovely story but awkward rhythm
Great little story for curious kids, but cery difficult to read at times as the rhythm/rhyme scheme is all over the place!
