    Good for anyone who can use a transfer belt.

This is a very well-made product. You can feel the quality in the materials. If you are already using a transfer belt successfully, this will definitely be an upgrade. Unfortunately for me and my patient, this was out first transfer belt, and we found out the hard way that transfer belts just don't work for every patient. I believe this is an excellent product for those who can use it correctly. If you have access to a physical therapist, try practicing with a temporary transfer belt if they have one, or use some other temporary version to see if this is the right mobility aid for you. If you try them out and decide they will really help you transfer your patient, I recommend this one. My patient has pretty sever spinal injuries, and we found out that transfer belts in general just don't support the right areas for us, but I know many other patients who love transfer belts, and this is definitely a good choice for anyone who can actually use them. Most are much thinner than this, and lack the handles. This model is really very nice, and good value for the price, and frankly, much nicer than the model in our physical therapists office.

I had hoped this transfer sling would help me to move my mother myself from wheelchair to bed.  The problem I have is that the sling wants to slide up and it needs to stay just at or just above the waist.  Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.It does, however, work great for one person putting it around her calves to simultaneously lying her down and pulling legs up to bed.

very well made and sturdy item.  My husband is 5'10" and weighs about 195.  I am about 125 and cannot lift him with it standing in front of him because we are worried he will fall on me. He has very poor balance and very limited mobility.  We use a sturdy transfer belt instead and I assist him from standing behind his chair.
