Review: not bad for the price, but inspect every time used and don't neglect to do so - this is a bare bones harness. the quality looks good, however, it had no certification cards that i'm used to seeing in climbing gear that i have used for many years. i have this as escape back up to the ladder i also have, since i work solo at altitude and have to be able to get down if the mechanics of the lift fail. do i recommend it, yes, every day use, only if inspected and replaced if wear shows. look at how many professional climbers tried to get the last bit of life out of gear and died because of it.
Review: What a bargain. - Teaching the kids how to climb trees (used to be one of my things when I was younger). I really didn't have the desire to spend a lot on something before I knew it would be used very much. So to test their interest and enthusiasm before spending 10X the price of this on a nice saddle, I was fortunate enough to come across this one. It fits my 100lb 10yo son, my 85lb 12yo girl...and even my 200+lb half century old donut and ribs eating rear end. Plenty sturdy enough for any one of us to safely explore climbing techniques, equipment and knots. If it (miraculously) sucks the boy outta the Matrix and becomes something he or the girl wants to persue...I'll spring for a higher dollar and more comfortable saddle. He managed to pull himself 15 feet up on his own so far and says he feels fine in it. From experience I know that this isn't the type of saddle that would be comfortable for extended periods of time hanging around in (and trimming big oaks trees for a couple/few hours). But for what we're doing with it, it's perfect. The girl hasn't tried it yet, but I have no doubt it'll work just fine for her too. The main points are that it fits a wide range of sizes, is comfortable enough to put your entire weight into for at least a fair amount of time, and (most importantly) is constructed with enough quality materials and techniques to entrust your life with. I worked at a destructive testing labratory for a while as a machinist, but learned about how these straps are tested and rated. Judging by not only the weight rating given, but the size, material and how they're sewn, I have no doubt that they'd hold up better than my own spine under a falling load. I wouldn't put my kids more than 3' off the ground in any equipment I didn't think I myself would be safe 300' off the ground in. Anything that happens 3' and below? Well...that's called "What did u learn?" Now...if they wanna free climb a tree barehanded..they can climb as high as they want. Danger and self realization of mortality...the best teacher there is in life.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Inexpensive and Functional
*by B***O on July 20, 2026*

I wouldn't use it for climbing since it not properly rated. I only use it for working on and around roofs, etc., and for that purpose it's fine. I have no doubt that it would handle an accidental fall; the materials appear plenty strong enough for that. I just wouldn't use it as a day-in, day-out climbing harness where it would be routinely subjected to stress.
