In no time I was cutting inlays in wood. It does have some limitations. If you try to make something very small the curvature of the bits may limit you. It seemed to work fine for any template design I made bigger that and inch or so. The bits are good quality and the brass components are well made. You can get incredible accuracy with this. Once you understand how it works it is relatively easy to use. The bits are sharp and should last quite a while before needing sharpening or replacement. I think the price is reasonable for what you get, it should last for a very long time. You can make quite a variety of shapes, really limited to your imagination. This kit worked very well. Walnut table top inlay with maple leaves and the bit is still going strong. Maple is very hard and burns easily, so I went slow and cleaned out my channels with the first pass. I bought a second bit due to some of the reviews, but so far, I have not needed it. I have some bluing on the bit, but I expect for it to last my next couple projects at least.
