Warehouse 13: Season 4

Terrific series when it first ran. Great to see both repeat and additional episodes that are either new or missed before.This series departed from the old, boring carbon copy main plot of most series, and produced enough unique twists and turns to make viewing both entertaining and in some ways rewarding.For examples: A) by including historical events in many cases, but with a slightly different viewpoint, it sometimes makes the viewer ponder whether all historical findings are really as complete and accurate as we all tend to regard them. It also uses several recent reversals of long held scientific theory as part of some episodes, reminding the thinking viewer that science is not cut and dried absolute fact, but simply the best theory we have with our limited skills, viewpoint and knowledge to date, always subject to new revelations and change.We wish that the series had been able to continue longer on free or standard TV/Cable/Satellite channels. It certainly was better than most of endless carbon copy fare that is on nearly every channel currently.

Warehouse 13 has many magical features that appeal to people. The Science Fiction appeals to the Sci-Fi lover. The artifacts, hoarded and secured in the huge vaults of the Warehouse, appeal to the collector. The human interactions of the multigenerational cast appeals to our humanity. Throwbacks to Star Trek TNG with another screen appearance of Data and Kivas Fajel. The breakout Claudia character, the female Fonzie of her generation, played with wit, charm, and panache. The bumbling idiot agent paired up with the super smart and beautiful one. All watched over by Artie, the caretaker of the Warehouse, who sends them off on their quests for artifacts. The show lost a relatively minor new age character named Lena who was killed off by Artie when he was under the spell of an artifact, but the show goes on. She was very nice to look at, but had very little to do. Mrs. Fredericks, the embodiment, if you will, of the Warehouse, who comes and goes mysteriously in a moment of time. A series of villains for extended plot lines, including HG Wells, a beautiful warehouse agent who has gone astray but still manages to befriend Myka. Another Star Trek character from DS 9, Odo, appearing as a former agent. It all adds up to a very entertaining and multi faceted program. Good choice.

I'm a science fiction fan. A BIG science fiction fan. Warehouse 13 is GOOD science fiction produced by the SciFi Channel. Unlike their B &C grade movies however, 'Warehouse 13' is engaging, humorous and interesting. Many of the stories are tied together into the fabric of a larger story. The story of the Warehouse. Warehouse 13 is a storage facility for 'Artifacts' that have seemingly supernatural powers. The powers can do things for good or evil, but even what seems good at first will eventually end up with a negative impact.The Warehouse employs 'Agents' to track, bag and tag artifacts to be stored away in the Warehouse. Once stored, artifacts are never to see the light of day again. The real story is in the lives of the agents Myka, Pete, Artie, Claudia and Steve and their interpersonal relationships. Warehouse 13 has something for everyone, drama, comedy, pathos and an interesting story line. I watched the show in it's entirety during it's SyFy Channel run. It'e even better on Amazon Instant Video since there are no commercials to endure. My wife and I tend to binge Warehouse 13 since we're Amazon Prime members and the first four seasons are free.The best thing you can do right now is to stop reading the ravings of a couch potato lunatic and start watching 'Warehouse 13'!

At 20 episodes This really a complete season 4 and 2/3 of season 5. I love warehouse 13 and wish it was still on the air. If the Sy Fy channel has any smarts at all they are already planning a WH13 movie or two. The fan base is HUGH. I just finished a WH13 watchathon where I viewed all the episodes in order from season 1 through season 5. What a great show ! I highly recommend buying all of the series if you are any kind of collector. In this set you will see the resolution of Artie's evil of his own making due to the use of the Astrolabe to restore the warehouse and the rise of a new villain, Paracelsus. I'm still suffering from PTSD (Post Traumatic Series Depression) due to the series cancellation. I can't help feeling like Ripley in Aliens when she says "Did IQ's suddenly drop while I was away?" For the programming exec's at SY FY channel I'm sure that they have. Wake up you schmucks, other channels are beating you at the Sci Fi game with shows like "Almost Human" and "Marvels Agents of Shield". You aired Stargate SG-1 for 10 years and canceled WH13 after 5 seasons ? DUH ! DOH !

Loved it. Season four was so intense. So much drama. Love the Steve and Claudia story arc. Well done, and completely believable. Myka's was a bit of a shock, but they did a good job with a difficult topic. I adore this show. Special features, bloopers pod casts, etc. Fabulous... holiday episode.Some sad moments this season. They really shook things up. It was harder to watch on TV. Seeing it now, I'm struck by how well they handled the sad and upsetting bits. Love this family of characters!

Another fun season of this series. I realized as I was re watching it that I had missed a few key episodes. I wish the series was still going on, it seems like as with many fine shows that Sci Fi has put out in recent years, they have fallen victim to the chopping block, leaving one unsatisfied and wondering. Season four is well thought out and put together, while season five, as it had been cancelled mid season, is hurried and misses much information. But all in all, a great series, full of actual "artifacts" with interesting stories attached to them. Add Warehouse 13 to the list of hurried endings, such as Caprica. I don't get attached to Sci Fi series anymore, as it seems I begin to follow and enjoy them, only to find out they are cancelled. POUT!

Ich bin ein großer Fan von Warehause 13 und habe mich sehr über Staffel 4 auf DVD gefreut.Nun habe ich etwa die Hälfte der Folgen geschaut und - naja - irgendwie ist dieser Zauber, dieses gewisse Etwas der ersten Staffeln weg. Ich kann nicht genau sagen woran es liegt, aber die Schauspieler machen irgendwie einen lustlosen Eindruck. Die Handlung entfernt sich zudem immer mehr von den wunderbaren Folgen der ersten Staffeln. Thema der Sendung war immer die spannende Suche nach den Artefakten. Diese ist aber immer mehr in den Hintergrund getreten und es macht den Eindruck als sei sie mehr eine lästige Pflicht für die Drehbuchautoren denn die Kür. Kein Vergleich zu den nachgerade genialen Weihnachtsfolgen der ersten Staffeln.Ich mag zudem die notorisch depressive Figur des Jinks nicht. Diese hätte man verlustfrei weglassen können.Schade, denn die Serie hat so stark angefangen. Hoffentlich wird Staffel 5 wieder wie früher.Technisch sind die DVDs in Ordnung. Bild, Ton alles OK. Da gibts nix zu meckern dran.

Ich finde die Serie von Anfang an sehr gut. Klar, wie alle Serien mit besseren und schlechteren Folgen, aber grundsätzlich recht genial. Ich habe das Gefühlt, dass man in dieser Staffel versucht hat, ein wenig mehr Drama hinein zu bringen und persönliche Schicksale der Hauptfiguren hervorzuheben. Das ist aber nur in kurzen Momenten gelungen.Der Handlungsbogen um Myka Bering hat mich nicht überzeugt und ihre "Traumsequenzen" haben mich irgendwann auch gestört. Da waren ihre Gefühle zu H.G. Wells in den vorherigen Staffeln überzeugender.Pete Lattimer ist leider in dieser Staffel vom erwachsenen Spezialagenten mit Hang zu jungenhaften Scherzen zu einem absolut infantilen Clown mutiert, der offenbar seine gesamte Ausbildung und Erfahrung vergessen hat und mit seinen Blödeleien sogar Einsätze vergeigt.Ich habe mit mir gekämpft, ob ich 1 oder 2 Sterne abziehen soll. Entschieden habe ich mich für 2 Sterne für die Entwicklung von Myka und Pete, und die schwache schreiberische Leistung.

Wie bei vielen Ideen mit vielversprechenden Möglichkeiten erwartet man unbewusst auch von Warehouse 13 immer schöne neue Wendungen/Charaktere/Action oder was auch immer. Die Autoren "bemühen" (da steckt Mühe/Mühsal drin) sich sicher weiter darum aber die verspielte Leichtigkeit der ersten Staffeln schwindet zugunsten von mehr Dramatik, Schicksalsschlägen etc. Da will kein Grinsen mehr bei aufkommen ... Hey Leute, das ist vom Prinzip doch eher easy als tricky Unterhaltung erdacht worden!

Ich habe diese Staffel am Freitag bestellt, Samstag geliefert, wiedereinmal hervorragender Service durch Amazon !Zur DVD selber:Die vierte Staffel schließt nahtlos an die dritte Staffel an; Dies bezieht sich sowohl auf die Handlung alsauch auf das hohe Niveau der Serie. Auch die Charaktere sind in dieser Staffel mit Ihren eigenen privatenGeschichten/Problemen ein wichtiger Bestandteil der Handlung. wobei vorallem Leena zu nennen ist (Ich will hierallerdings natürlich nicht spoilern, seht selbst).Die "Fälle" bzw. Artefakte an sich sind wieder sehr spannend gestaltet,ohne nennenswerte Längen aufzuweisen. Hervorgehoben sei hier auch die grandiose 40er Jahre Folge"Der Fall des vermissten Jade-Elefanten", die beide Hauptdarsteller sichtlich genießen! Die Macher haben es wieder geschafft,viele interesannte und teils natürlich auch verrückte Artefakte einzubauen.Nebenbei sei bemerkt, das auch die Bild- und Tonqualität für "SD" Qualität sehr gut ist, und esumfangreiche Extras auf den insgesamt 5 DVDs gibt. Die 5 DVDs werden in der üblichenPlastikhülle geliefert, diesmal wurde jedoch zumindest ein Karton-Schuber spendiert, der das ganzeetwas hübscher verpackt. Also für Warehouse 13 Fans ein absoluter Pflichtkauf, für Neulinge ist ein Quereinstiegjedoch NICHT emphfelenswert, hier sollte dann lieber die  Warehouse 13 - Season One [3 DVDs ] bestellt werden.Unterm Strich der einzige Negativpunkt ist, dass es in meinen Augen die letzte "komplette" Staffel ist,hiernach folgt leider nur noch die finale 5 Staffel mit 6 Folgen, in welchem die Handlung abgeschlossenwerden soll. Endlich geht es wieder auf Artefakt Suche.In gewohnter Manier geht die Truppe um Artie auf Artefakt-Suche. Die meisten Teile der Staffel sind wirklich sehr abwechslungsreich und spannend. Der typische Warehouse Humor geht dabei selten verloren.Ein paar wenige Teile und Artefakte sind dabei, die ihre Längen haben, aber das trifft auf so ziemlich jede Serie zudie ich bisher gesehen habe. Gegen Ende der Staffel steigert sich die Spannung noch einmal und mit feuchten Augenwünscht man sich nur noch die Auflösung in dieser Staffel und nicht erst mit den 6 Teilen der 5. Staffel.Alles Zähne knirschen und Tischplatten zerbeißen nützt aber nichts. Der Cliffhänger ist ein echter Cliffhänger.Bitte, bitte bringt ganz schnell Staffel 5 auf DVD heraus!!!Fazit: Wer Warehouse13 Staffel 4 kauft erhält auch nichts anderes. Die Serie bleibt sich auf der ganzen Linie treu.Wer die Serie kennt und mag, der wird vermutlich genau so begeistert sein wie ich es war und bin.Kaufen!
