So far, I am very happy with this device. When I purchased it, I did so with the understanding that this inversion table, like all inversion tables, is not a cure. It provides welcome relief to compressed vertibrae; this relief is temporary. With this knowledge I spent my money, as well as between 60 and 90 minutes carefully assembling it. The process of assembly, while time consuming, was not a problem. I've spent more time putting together a component hi-fi system. Careful, deliberate effort to assemble my Teeter paid off. No parts were missing, diligent attention paid to the instructions made the process flow smoothly. Anybody complaining about having to assemble it is, well, impatient to say the least, and probably expecting much more out of the device than it can deliver. While assembling it, I was impressed with the quality of the build. The steel tubing has a satisfying "heft" that instills faith that the finished product will not fold like a cheap bicycle with use. One reason I chose the LX9 was reviewers' pictures of other inversion tables showing some pretty shoddy-looking welds; another reason is that other tables looked like they were made like folding lawn furniture. Once assembled, the LX9 is very sturdy. I have not the slightest concern for my safety while using it. I have read reviews in which the complaint was voiced that the ankle restraints "hurt" and were painful. Perhaps this could be true, but one would have to use them improperly. Take your time to be sure the foot rest is adjusted properly and that your feet are positioned properly. If one finds the restraints painful, play around with your positioning. I can inflict great pain on my feet and ankles if I do not use the restraints correctly. "Playing" around is perhaps a cavalier way of saying that one must experiment, trying different adjustments. While the assembly process is straight forward, there are adjustments to be made based on the individual's physical, eh, parameters. For example, the user's height adjustment is not an unbreakable rule. I am 69 inches tall, but I learned that setting the table's height adjustment for a 74 inch individual moves my center of gravity closer to the balance point of the table. I can now control my resting angle with simple arm movements, just like in the Teeter videos. All in all, the LX9 seems to be a fine device, and well worth the investment. I do reserve the right to change my opinion as time goes by, since I am still new to this. So far, however, every time I use my LX9, I come away feeling better for the experience. When I received the posture Restore, I was puzzled to find there was only one gap in the back that could accept the plugs that hold it. The other 3 were covered by the framework of the unit's back support. I have a blue back support. I called the company and Junior answered. He asked if I have a blue back or a gray back. I then found out that the restore pieces only fit on the newer gray units. The framework has a different design now and I think it also has a vertical locking mechanism, so I was unable to use the Posture Restore. I was able to send it back for full refund which I have received. I love my Hang Up inversion table and I was disappointed that I could not use the product, but that's OK since they took it back without question.. Very sturdy! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not so comfortable, but effective for what they're designed to do. *by R***. on October 29, 2025* These pads take a lot of getting used to. They work better if they are set to the lower position, so that your head is not resting on the pad if your trying to correct a hump or hunched upper back, and you also don't want to use as steep of an angle because the pads won't be effective if the angle is too much, as the pads push in and depress the spine and in between the shoulders, so, a lot less of an angle is what's needed to maximize the benefits of these pads. Another thing is that they aren't comfortable, so, don't get the impression that your not going to relax as much as when your at a more steeper angle and just using the headrest without the pads. One other thing to mention is that your going to have to kind of balance yourself to stay centered as the pads do raise you up enough that your ot relying on the bed to support yourself like with the more extreme angles and allowing gravity to do the work.
