Review: It works very well and the price was quite good - Purchased as a refurbished unit. Very small footprint so fits nicely on a workdesk. Software installation was easy. It has worked quite well for a moderate document printing load. Prints well on legal size paper. For the price, I am very pleased. [Using on a USB connection to a laptop; have not tested its network capabilities and do not use it with InstantInk or the HP online utilities.] Update: I bought a second unit. The first unit (above) was set up as a USB and it has performed very well and had done what I needed done. I set this new unit up as a network printer. Setting up the printer on the network was a 3 hour ordeal of trying to figure out what exactly one was supposed to do to get the device installed. Finally got the printer installed and running on the network accessed by two computers on the network, in spite of the HP "Smart" software. So, great printer, HORRIBLE setup software from HP.
Review: Light duty, good quality - All I needed was a low cost, small, basic printer/copier for a third workstation in the house, I also wanted to have it use the same printer cartridges as my existing printers. Found this and bought the refurbished unit because it fit my needs and budget perfectly. It prints quickly and quietly, the images and text are clear and sharp, it has a small footprint so doesn't take up much room, everything I needed. Setup was quick and easy using the HP Print Doctor software and Windows 10.

**Q: Does it print on card stock?**
A: Yes, I print on card stock often.

**Q: If you run out of color Ink can you still print in black or do both inks need to be filled?**
A: Yes you 100% can still print. Just change your print settings to print it in B&W otherwise if you still have it set for color then it wouldn't print. But yes that does work I literally just did it yesterday.

**Q: How hard is it to set up to the wi-fi?**
A: It is EXTREMELY difficult to set up!

**Q: What is the width, depth, & height of this printer ?**
A: it is about 5.55' high, it is about 15.86" wide and maybe 6.7" deep, the sizes are at the bottom of the listing.  Beware our printer grabs all the paper in the tray each time it prints, and I have to reload the paper between each page.  That is the only issue.

### ⭐ Don’t buy refurbished

It may be unfair to review a refurbished machine because clearly there had to have been something wrong to begin with or it wouldn’t have needed “fixing.” But supposedly refurbishment returns it to “good as new,” so maybe it was? In any case, it is a nice, compact size, but in order to make a copy, you must feed the documents through the feeder. That means that you cannot copy a page from a book unless you tear the page out! My printer had several glitches that caused me to ask for my money back. First, when I hit print, it froze. Sometimes it would print out the page ten minutes later, sometimes it was several days. Eventually I found that if I unplugged the USB cable, it would begin to print my documents and then stop. If I plugged it back in, it would eject the partial print and then print the document fully. Annoying! But mine also failed to print in color and since I received a refund I never ascertained whether it was due to the printer itself or just a faulty cartridge. All in all, even if it had been only $20, it wouldn’t have been worth it.
