Starlight Beds Castle 8-Inch Hybrid Small Double Memory Foam Mattress with Springs – Soft, Grey, (4ft x 6ft3)

Needed a small double mattress for the spare room. Spent a couple of hours looking about and comparing between different mattress makes and their features, finally decided to give this one a try, although I was a bit wary due to some of the negative reviews I had read. Decided 'What the heck!', and gave it a try. Glad I purchased it. It is a lovely mattress, and a bargain for the price. Fits perfect on the small double frame I have. I left it about a day and half to really open up fully. Worked well. Quite deep, medium firm, very comfortable. Added a mattress protector on top for additional protection and comfort (although it really doesn't need anymore padding for comfort). I would recommend this product to others, especially if you need something quick, comfortable and at a good price. Delivery was fairly rapid. Delivery guy was pleasent. I'm happy with this product.

I'm very pleased with my mattress. It's very comfortable and I have slept much better since I started to use it. Now when I get up in a morning I'm not as stiff and my joints are less painful which means I can move much more easily. If anything I would say that it is a little bit too soft but perhaps that is because I've been used to a much firmer one and I am getting more used to it. I do however have one complaint about the delivery. The mattress was not delivered on the original date, I did get a message late at night to say it would be delivered either the next day or the day after that. The following morning my House Manager arrived at my door accompanied by our regular Postman. The Postman as he was arriving at our block of flats had seen the delivery man remove the box from his van and literally dump it on the the ground outside our main entrance, get back in his van and drive off. The Postman having gained authorised entry spoke to our House Manager and told her what he had seen and that there was a very large box outside in the rain. He then extremely helpfully assisted our manager to bring it into the building and up to my flat. I had at no point been contacted by the delivery man. There would have been no way I would have been able to bring the box in on my own nor assist my manager to do so as I have arthritis and cannot lift. If the Postman hadn't been there to witness what happened and been willing to help I don't know how long the box might have been left there in the rain. To sum up, I am extremely satisfied with the mattress but extremely dissatisfied with the delivery.

Look, these are cheap. But they are very comfortable. I don’t know how long they will last. But for the price you could replace the, every year and still be cheaper than the shop bought ones and the ones that give you a 60 day guarantee. I have spondylitis, so move a lot during the night normally to get comfy. I still move a lot. But not because I’m trying to get comfy. I’m moving to keep my back moving. That is important in spondylitis. But I don’t wake up at all while moving because I’m not in pain. These beds are neither soft or hard. They are somewhat in between. If you are going to buy a bed online without trying it first, I don’t see the point of spending too much money. Because something costs more, doesn’t necessarily mean that it will be better. Personally I feel these mattresses are so comfy I sleep well and don’t wake up with backache in the morning. But everybody is different. Other people might not find it the same

Shame I can give 0 stairs. Very bad mattress, is nothing like described and is very thin. Images are very misleading and the mattress I got is even totally different than the ones I saw pics of other costumers. Not worth it even on a budget. For more 20/30£ there are better mattresses on here.

I have so much to complain about with delivery, getting 2 sent out to me, the whole delivery was a complete disaster, so so late and stressed me out beyond belief, but I've got to say, im in love. This is all in all the softest and comfiest mattress I have owned! I am so pleased with it and couldnt be more happy. Delivery (for me personally) was clearly awful, but the product is insane!

The mattress came 2 days earlier than first notified. The quality is very good. So comfortable that it’s hard to get out of bed. Very pleased with the item.

Purchased small double mattress for 8 year old son, he absolutely loves it, he says it's the best night's sleep he has ever had and he is going to bed early just to lie on his new mattress and I literally cannot get him up in the morning! Personally I found it very soft when initially lying down but then it sort of sprung up whilst I was lying down and was very comfortable and supportive. I would say this is more suited for a child, a very light adult or someone who prefers a softer mattress. It came well packed and was ready to use after a couple of hours. Good communication from seller re slight delivery issue but that was an issue with the courier and not the seller, very happy with purchase.

Very basic mattress but you get what you pay for, comes rolled up in a narrow box.
