Please Don't Change This Formula!
*1 Month Update* This product still gets my 5+ star review. I continue to be impressed with the quality of the product and the company. Now after a little more than 1 month of continued use, within the last 10 days I've been waking up and realizing I can skip a day of washing my hair. This is a fantastic feeling. Where my hair would have felt so dry and straw-like in the past, my hair and scalp feel balanced and "content" now. I don't know what to say except this is a huge deal for me. I use to have very oily scalp hair by the next morning with very dry ends... that is a thing of the past. As a side note, I also suffer from pcos with an excess of testosterone contributing to an excess of sebaceous oil gland production, which I have remedied with spearmint tea and some other supplementation. While I know that has assisted with my body's oil secretions, I equally know that this shampoo and conditioner have contributed to the enhanced moisture quality of my hair as I use nothing else aside from 3 drops (yes, drops) of argan oil and chamomile only on my ends. My ONLY suggestion would be for the company to consider a "buy back" program on their bottles to be refilled (perhaps if subscribe and save were an option, we could send them back in return packaging). I would not mind sending my bottles back in to be "refilled" at a discounted price and also to minimize environmental waste... just a suggestion! But Again, thank you so very much to a company that is using quality ingredients! And again, please do not ever change a thing. *Original Review* Thanks to some recent hormonal imbalances, my hair was like dry crackly straw, it was a static-y nightmare every day and getting worse. Breaking everyday, tons of hair in the shower, on my clothes, on the floor... you get the idea. I had been using jason tea tree and a shampoo bar by ethique... both of which seemed to make matters significantly worse over the last year. I scoured Amazon for "natural" shampoos with argan oil and this caught my eye due to the pH claims. I also had experience making shampoo in the past with soap nuts and know how amazing those are, so I was extremely excited to try this in the hopes it would help repair my dry thinning hair. Keep in mind this is a natural shampoo, it's not going to lather heavily like chemical laden commercialized shampoos. I have very fine/thin hair and use 2 pumps of the shampoo and massage into just my scalp area. Let that sit for about 2 minutes, rise with cool water, then apply 2 full pumps of the conditioner from the ends of my hair and work that up to the nape of my neck. Let that sit for as long as possible and again rinse with cool water. By the scent of the Lavender, I can tell that the company is using genuine oil and not some imitation lavender perfumery. My hair has been so much softer, looks incredibly healthy and my static has been minimized. I use a sandalwood comb to help with static and apply argan oil infused with certain oils to assist with the little bit of static I still have and just let my hair air dry and it's absolutely perfect. Please Tree to Tub, DO NOT CHANGE THIS FORMULA EVER💕 (no matter how popular your company becomes, please do sacrifice quality ingredients!)

Hair feels amazing!! Give it time! PLEASE READ
UPDATE:: So I just bought my second set! It REALLY takes time using this for your hair to rid itself of build up and toxins.. My hair is middle of my back length. Here's how I use it. 1 wet hair scrub with water, scrub like you have shampoo. 2. 3 pumps work into hair scrub again.. it will not be sudsy yet.. Rinse well. 3. 3 more pumps it should be sudsy now work into hair massage your scalp and ends. Rinse well. 4. 5 pumps of conditioner I work it on my ends leave in for 2-5 minutes. Then rinse. Make sure you scrub scalp especially by neck so you don't leave residue. I was my hair 1-2 times a week it stays cleaner using this. My hair is so healthy shiny and soft now and thicker! I don't use any other products. This is so worth the money. This is a good product, my hair is thinning as I get older.. so I rarely wash it.. first trying it I hated it because it feels like my hair was greasy and hard to manage. 2nd time I used it.. I pre washed it 4 pumps worked it into my hair, rinsed.. then washed it a second time 4-5 pumps.. it had suds finally .. it felt very clean and I love the smell. conditioner doesn't do much for softness, because trying to brush after using this shampoo and conditioner my hair is horrible.. I still use some salon oil for my dry ends. My hair stays cleaner longer I wash it every 5-7 days.. it takes a pre wash and then a wash 4-5 pumps each. I think it's pretty expensive because of the amount of shampoo it takes each time but worth it my hair looks healthier. I like it and will buy it again.

Not perfect, but very good and multifunctional
I must have unusual hair. I've seen so many reviews that gush about how smooth, soft, and shiny their hair is with these hair products. I, on the other hand, have very dry, staticky, poofy frizz when I use them. It took some experimentation to get the combination just right for good hair days. Less shampoo, more conditioner, and a leave-in conditioner at the end are my best bet for hair with bounce and shine. Sometimes I'll use this conditioner as a leave-in, but the soapberry juice can leave a faint residue, like soap will do if not fully rinsed out. On the bright side, the lightweight moisturizers never weigh down my waves and curls the way most ultra-moisturizing products do. The reason I don't give up on this set is that my dry, itchy scalp thrives on these products! It itches much less, which is such a big improvement that I'm more than willing to find a workaround for the frizz. I also shed less hair in the shower--another big improvement. I love the lavender fragrance, and I also love that my hair doesn't smell like lavender all day. I work with the public and want to smell clean but never perfumed. Bonus: the shampoo makes a lovely face wash. Tree to Tub's actual face wash surprisingly leaves my skin red and dry. This shampoo does not. I use it alone or as the second step in a double-cleanse.

This has been a blessing
My scalp and hair was having a really hard time with me lately. Between side affects of having Celiac's Disease (possibly now Hypothyroidism) and a really bad newly occurring allergic reaction to my hair dye, my scalp was constantly burning and itching, paired with skin peeling and crazy loss of hair. I was starting to lose hope and felt I needed to find a natural shampoo and conditioner that could help me level things out. I thought it was going to be impossible to find. It wasn't. I have used this shampoo and conditioner combo for 4 washes now (over about 3.5 weeks - I don't wash my hair every shower) and I am so relieved by the transformation. I am losing less hair each shower, my scalp stopped the burn itchiness by the 2nd shower and the skin peeling/flakiness/dandruff has significantly decreased each shower as well. I will be a lifelong customer. What I noticed from some of the reviews - and from the growth activation shampoo which I am considering getting next - is that there is a lack of lather issue. I would like to address this. The first shower I used this shampoo I was a little miffed by the lack of lather as well, especially so because the literature that comes with it and the real soapberry talks about the natural lather that is created. Then the next pump of shampoo in my hand I decided to rub my hands together just to see what happened. Like magic - the lather happened. Then I realized that when I then put this lather in my hair it would lather up even more. I still use more pumps (6 to be exact) than I would a "normal" shampoo to thoroughly clean my head, but "normal" shampoo has chemicals in it specifically to make it lather. So. They're cheating. This is natural, it wins. I leave the shampoo in for 30 seconds to a minute and then thoroughly rinse it out. Another thing is that I have started using warm/cool water for my showers now vs the almost burning temperatures that for some reason we're all convinced we have to use in order to be clean. The conditioner is so soothing. I was a little worried during the first use because it didn't seem to create the same icing affect as "normal" conditioners. I reminded myself that this stuff is real, and of course it is going to behave differently - just like the shampoo. But, after letting it sit for about 2 minutes while I took care of other cleaning needs, when I went to wash it out it almost seemed to have "developed" and was super slick and soft and creamy. With each shower it smooths through easier on application and washes out leaving my hair feeling more voluminous, hydrated, and soft. I love this shampoo and conditioner. I hope if you are feeling at your wits end or simply want to try something natural you give this a chance.

Relaxing and Energizing, But Not For All Hair Types
This is a sulfate-free, natural shampoo/conditioner set. So why 3 stars? It isn't for everyone. Just because it is natural doesn't mean it is perfect. Let me start with this - this is is such a cooling, and relaxing shampoo/conditioner set. I really LOVED the tingling feeling, and the scent was so refreshing that let the conditioner sit in my hair to cool off and to breathe in the aromatic scent. It is almost salon/spa quality so that is a bonus going for it. I do have to shampoo twice due to my hair consistency so that's where it loses a star. It isn't very effective, for me. Actual individual use will vary. Despite the "for all hair types" labeling - this loses another star. I have thick and wavy/curly, color-treated hair and I have to use a handful of the conditioner to get it soft and manageable. Another issue - tangles. My hair tangles SO easily that I have to sometimes use a weekly mask and bi-weekly "leave in" treatments. That's also why I need a TON of this conditioner. And, given the price for the product, it's not a great value for me specifically. Otherwise this would get more than the 3 stars. It's not a bad product, and maybe for someone with finer, straight, and non color treated hair - it would be perfect. I'll use it up, but won't purchase it again.

Crunchy Cosmetologist Says...
I'm a cosmetologist who tries to keep things as natural/organic as possible while still staying true to a high standard for both safety and (hello!!) EFFECTIVENESS... Not many brands manage to walk this fine line as perfectly as treetotub does. I've been using their shampoos and conditioners for almost two years now (including other products such as their face wash, body wash, body lotion, and eye cream), and this brand never disappoints. An overview of my favorite features... pH balanced (as a cosmetologist this is a huge selling point for me) T2T makes the only soapberry cleansers on the market (and frankly, if others do exist, who cares lol) Aloe or soapberry juice is used as the base ingredient (not water) so veeery nourishing Gentle for chemically-sensitive kids or kids with allergies, and gentle on eyes compared to other brands Shampoo cleanses without ever stripping (I'm a hairdresser by trade and consider this universally effective regardless of hair type) Conditioner softens without weighing down and I also use on my scalp to help condition the skin and promote new growth (note: I have long, coarse, chemically processed and bleached hair with almost no split ends). Scented with essential oils instead of fragrance (unscented option as well) When the bottles get low, you can dilute them with distilled water then shake to mix (this can also be done with liquid/fractionated aloe if you're feeling fancy). This extends the product because yes it is expensive but it is also very concentrated. Also, the customer service cant be beat. When I first started using this brand, there was a mixup. I had to deal with customer service (or should I say, customer service had to deal with an irate ME lol), and I was floored and humbled at the personalized service and professionalism... this company really does care. I've been a repeat customer ever since... Oh, and I look great too lol.

You’ve ruined shampoo for me
This is my third bottle of Tree to Tub shampoo and my first bottle of conditioner. I can officially say this has ruined all other hair products for me. I kept my old tried-and-true favorite Sebastian shampoo in the shower after getting my first bottle of this, and I accidentally started using it out of habit a couple times while working through my new bottle. It felt... gross. Now, the first time using this soapberry shampoo, I hated it. You get so used to traditional shampoos immediately lathering into a thick layer of suds that when you have to kind of work for it, it’s off-putting at first. But I was encouraged that my hair looked and felt amazing as it dried that night and well into the next day and didn’t feel greasy or smelly (was worried about that since I was using raw and unscented), not to mention my hands that are prone to eczema didn’t feel like they were screaming for moisture after shampooing my hair like they usually do - they even kind of felt soft! I decided to use the rest of the bottle consistently (minus those couple slip-ups) and see how I felt about it. It took me about a month to get through the bottle, and I was back on Amazon making sure I had a fresh one for my next shower! A few pro-tips: -Make sure hair is fully saturated with water before adding shampoo. It will help make it lather. -If you feel like your hair’s not squeaky clean enough, lather up and let it sit for a few minutes while you do the rest of your routine. You’ll notice a difference when you go to rinse. You can also lather, rinse, repeat with a tiny amount on the second lather and it will suds up like crazy to get anything you missed. -Use a little at a time. This stuff spreads pretty well as you work it in, and it’ll go farther than you think. I have a lot of hair and I start with 2 pumps and work it in from my ears/forehead back, another pump from behind my ears and up the back of my head, and one more pump for the crown of my head, and that’s plenty. The raw unscented and this peppermint version are both excellent, and you can’t go wrong with either. The peppermint is nice if you enjoy scented products! Ok, and holy crap this conditioner is AMAZING. I’ve used everything from drugstore brands to luxury brands and everything in between and this is THE BEST conditioner on the market. Period. The way it sinks into the hair immediately and rinsed clean without weighing it down is incredible. Plus, I use less than half the amount I was using in my Sebastian conditioner. Yep, I’m a customer for life!

Best natural products for my thin waist-length hair I’ve found
I only use natural products on my waist-length hair and this is, so far, the best natural shampoo/conditioner I’ve tried. It’s difficult to find natural products that aren’t horrific for my long, fine hair. Some reviewers have said that the shampoo doesn’t lather as much as other shampoos due to the soapberries, but I thought it lathered nearly as much as chemical-y ones - there wasn’t much of a noticeable difference for me. The conditioner doesn’t feel slippery like chemical ones while you’re in the shower, and if you have super long hair like mine, you’ll probably need to use about twice as much as you would shampoo, but your hair will love it and the brush will slide right through. While in your hair, it feels almost like an oil treatment. My main reason for trying these was because they are “ph balanced”, meaning they have a low/acidic ph, which closes your hair follicles, in turn making your hair super soft, shiny and healthy. 99.9% of conventional shampoos are definitely not ph balanced. In addition to this awesome feature, they are also, sulfate, silicon, paraben, and perfume free, WINNING! I was glad to find these in a bundle for $20 instead of $18 a piece. Long story short - they’re definitely worth a try if you take your hair health seriously like I do. Definitely plan on buying more.
