The fabric is a good weight. I did take the advice from another review and sized up one size because of the "cling" and it fits me loose enough without being too big. I wear a 22 which I think is a 3X and I purchased a 4X. It is a little long (I'm 5'9") but with the 2" heels I tried it on with it looks perfect.
