Great for cleaning. Loop is big enough for large absorbent patches to get more than enough cleaner in contact with surface area.

Gets the job done.
One of the main principals of cleaning guns is to get solvent where it is needed. This generous loop allows one to use a large patch well wetted with solvent to coat the whole bore with solvent. Small tips tend to constrict the patch which does not allow enough solvent.

great shotgun jag
Good for running a 3M scrubber patch through the barrel of a shotgun. It is a wire loop, so it will deform if you try to push too large a wad. Most slotted jags won't hold as large a patch. Especially helpful for 10 and 12 gauge, but is good for anything but a 410.

Great for Cleaning 12 Gauge Shotguns
Like this for my 12 gauge Beretta A300. The size of the loop allows for thicker patches to be run down the barrel for cleaning. Better than flimsy plastic, yet brass won't damage the barrel. Nice.
