eSutras Organics Pomegranate Peel Powder Superfood, 7 Ounce

I decided to buy this after reading about the additional benefits of pomegranate peel powder compared to the actual pomegranate powder. Supposedly, the peel powder has more antioxidants. It's important to buy this in organic to avoid the chemicals as they are mostly sprayed onto. I add this to the smoothies I make. The taste is not sweet and is not comparable to pomegranate. It's the peel after all. If you have a sweet tooth, you need to mix this with something else, even so it will still change the flavor. I personally like stuff that doesn't taste good. I don't know why. So, the taste doesn't bother me. On the label it says it could also be used as a skin care product. A friend of mine has some sort of eczema and we tried a lot of skin care products including hydrocortisone cream, hemp seed cream and licorice cream. Hydrocortisone has been helpful containing it, licorice was good with removing the itch. Hemp seed cream didn't do much for us. About a week ago, out of blue, I decided to make a mix cream myself using the powders I have been ordering from Amazon to make smoothies. I mixed the pomegranate peel powder with camu camu powder and bilberry powder and used a small chunk of egyptian magic cream as a base. I have been applying the the cream on her leg and wrap it with cloth bandage so she can go to work and remove it when she comes back and make a new cream every time. God bless, after a few days now, the rash, eczema or whatever it is, has been getting thinner and thinner. Hopefully it will be gone soon and never come back. I hope this review will help you make your decision.

Saw mixed reviews, but product was as I expected. Package was sealed very well, tasted like pomagranate peel, taste is tollerable expected as pomagranate peel is not exactly supposed to be the tasty part, but the peel powder has great health benefits. Very happy with my purchase and my timely and friendly delivery too!

This product was not properly sealed by the manufacturer--it arrived with fruit powder all over the outside of the jar! There was no vacuum seal and the lid was only loosely screwed on. There was a loose plastic seal around the edge of the lid (the kind used to prevent product tampering) but this kind of seal does nothing to preserve the freshness of the product inside and this IS, after all, a fruit product mean for human consumption--it should be properly sealed to keep air from getting in until the jar is opened by the consumer. A manufacturer who is so unacceptably sloppy about the packaging of "organic" products may be equally sloppy about the purity of its products. There is no FDA oversight of the manufacture of nutritional supplements, a disturbing problem which Consumer Report Magazine brought to light in its July 2016 publication following the death of a premature baby who was being given (trusted) live probiotics which, it turns out, were contaminated with a rare fungus. The rare fungus killed the baby.

We ordered one bag and it was really good. Had a slight pomegranate taste, but not sweet we went on subscribe and save and we got a plastic jar this time with brown powder in it that tasted like dirt. Then we went subscribe and save and got three bags and contents of each bag had a completely different look and taste. The texture of each was completely different, and one had crunches that felt sharp and almost like pieces of glass..
