Worked with my echo - almost a 50% savings over what echo wanted to replace the head.
I bought an echo (one of the cheaper ones) weed trimmer with a rapid change trim head, the kind where you just push string through and it locks into place. I LOVED it. It runs good, and the rapid / push through idea is genius. I highly recommend trying one of those echos if you get a chance. After a couple of years, though..the little push-through holes where you load the string in got too loose and string kept flying out. That was kind of a bummer. Now in all fairness, i might have used a non-echo line that loosened those holes up, in which case it isnt echo's fault. But I have a feeling that this is just something that will eventually happen to all of these, if you use it on a regular basis. So..I took a look and didn't really see any way to fix the little clips and I looked online to see how much echo wanted for a new head and it was nearly 40$, which was way too much in my mind considering I got the weed trimmer on sale for around $110 or 150$ and the head is basically a piece of plastic with some metal clips in it. So I started looking for alternatives and found this baby for about 20$. I just finished installing it and used it for the 1st time. So while I can't comment on the durability I CAN say that it works GREAT. I deducted one star of the ease-of-install rating because none of the nuts that came with it fit my echo shaft perfectly..so it is possible the one nut that was supposed to work was either missing or cut poorly. (It comes with a few different nuts for different brands and models). But , luckily I was able to use the nut from taking the original head off , as it was able fit into the slot and get tight. So, when you remove your head - hang on to the nut just in case. You have to drop the nut into the new head and then tighten it by hand using the head as the wrench, and like I said my nut dropped in and barely fit. All in all, this was very easy to install (4/5) and a GREAT value (5/5) and If it lasts the whole year, I'll come back and update the durability rating. But I just used it for the 1st time and it cuts GREAT. Its a bit heavier than my original I think, so I am just using 1 out of the 3 cutting lines. If you have a small weed trimmer like I do, I don't think youll see much benefit out of using all 3 and you might get more rpm's from just using 1 or 2. Also if you just use 1 or 2 and one breaks, youll have a "back up". Just my thoughts. I would buy this product again. I would recommend this product to others. And, I am even thinking about buying one for a backup in case i break it (i'm pretty hard on stuff) mid-season so I can just keep truckin'. Buy this, you will NOT regret it. If youve got a regular bump or auto head , my recommendation becomes even stronger. Youll 1) never go back to a bump head or auto head with a spool and 2) youll kick yourself for not changing to this type of head sooner. A+ product...and I rarely write reviews.

Weed Wacking Made Simple
I have been using this trimmer head on my Echo trimmer for several years and found it to be a very pleasant replacement for the typical two line bumper style head. Maximum line is listed as .095" but I've been using .105 line and it works very well. I measured the length of line I wanted and while watching TV, took a spool of line and cut it up into lengths ready to be used. I normally trim for an hour to an hour and a half at a time and the remaining line is still pretty good and usable but before starting to trim, I always install a fresh set of line which takes only a couple of minutes. I bought a new head because the old one I've used for a few years broke one of the line holding swivels. Some have listed a line breaking problem and I have never experienced a broken line with this head. Trimmer line can become brittle as you really don't know how old it is even when you first buy it. Have been told that leaving the line in a bucket with a damp sponge for 48 hours will refurbish its flexibility. I highly recommend this unit. It in inexpensive, functions very well and much simpler to use than the bump style trimmer heads. A verity of bolts and adapters are included to fit most trimmer brands. Happy trimming!

Excellent tool, the best I've found so far (but less durable than hoped).
UPDATE: 1 year later. It literally came apart after a year's weekly use on a 1/4 acre subdivision yard; 3 photos are all today, during and when done for day. I use it for edging and weedeating. Still, it worked well, string replacement was easy, and I've yet to find a better option, so I ordered two more today. For the price, a year is not bad, though I would have hoped for more durable. I replaced the head on my Kobalt 80V weedeater with this one. The replacement took 10 minutes, stringing it line took less than 5, and I was on the go. I don't use precut line, I use rolls of the stuff, cut to fit, bent in the middle and inserted as instructed. This thing works well, the line last longer than it did w/ the old head, and replacement is a snap. The only problem is that maybe 1 out of 10 times, I need to use a small pair off pliers to pull the remnant line from the attachment point where it broke off. Never hard, just not possible for me to grip with my big fingers. IMO, this is well worth the money.

A+ Fantastic Highly Recommend
Dang old dang, works great on my cheap Homelite weed wacker. I bought a cheap weed whip when my last one broke as it was the only thing quickly available. The head just let string out like a casting fishing reel. I've got 10 years ground keepers experience on golf courses and 25 years since taking care of my yard and this was the worst head every designed. I was ready to give it away and go get a much more expensive weed whip when I thought about an advertise I saw. So I gave PivoTrim a go. None of the four methods quite matched but I was able to adapt from the videos and get it assembled and working in under 30 minutes. I just hit the entire yard and not a string is broke. I've got lots of fence, driveway, sidewalk, metal picnic tables, swings, garden stone, and patio blocks and the weeds got taken out like yesterday. Since I did not ever have to feed line, it took half the time. The PivoTrim moves a lot of air when the head is spinning. The line provided was more flexible than what I normally use and came with a replacement set. I will order Maxpower 24 pack of replacement line to have around as I'm very impressed even though it cost a bit more than normal replacement line. The line is cake to install; I did bend it away from the safety shield in case that helped while the weed whip warmed up. It never hit the shield during use. My yard is small by great plains standards, but an average size yard for most folks in the contiguous states. The PivoTrim moved along quickly never catching or tugging, way faster than any head I've used. I highly recommend for residential use. I keep my lawn well maintained, so there is not a lot of really long grass. I'm not sure how well this would in tall grass.

Great product, Great customer service
We love the ease of replacing trimmer line. I wasn't sure how to install it on my Husqvarna so I called customer service for help. Monica was very friendly in helping me to get the trimmer head installed. I left a message and she called me back in less than 10 minutes (friday pm that was great!) We have Pivotrim fixed line trimmer head at the lake so we wanted one here at home also.

Works well, until it doesn't
easy to install and use. However, ours didn't even last a year before the slots for the string started breaking. Don't know if this is typical but I'm disappointed.

Swivel makes it work better
Works well. Was able to do a lot more trimming because the plastic line didnโt break. Swiveling connectors helped a lot

INPRACTICLE DAILY USE
Ordered it 3 weeks ago still waiting If you can tell your weeds to WAIT Three freakin weeks to grow then this is the company to use.. Otherwise I could and should have drove the 5 miles to the big box store and bought it off the shelf . I already paid 3 weeks ago and still wiating The concept of the product is good how EVER The swivel bearings fly out after a season of use and the comp. does not offer replacement Bearings( which pivot) and hold the string line ..terrible Sad! and mostly dissapointed ,,However my weeds are flourishing

Wow!
We had the traditional wind up line that took forever to load and constantly broke. This is amazing! The install is simple and the line cut through thick weeds in our back field without breaking. A fence post is what finally broke a line or two - but I was reloaded with a fresh line in about 2 minutes. If you are using the old feed through and wind up style, this is a game changer.

Absolutely brilliant.
There's no list of compatible edgers, just "universal fits most" so I took a gamble and it was money well spent. Nothing else fits my old Stihl FSA 85 except another original garbage bump head. Installation was a no-brainer. It comes with a range of spacers, nuts and bolts to suit different machines, of which I used one nut. It could fit a slightly thicker shaft to mine and probably would have centred when tightened, but I took the opportunity to put a bit of heat-shrink over the shaft and used a different washer to make it perfect. Six lines instead of two makes it a slightly noisier with more load on the motor, but neither was a problem. The path of destruction of the lines is a wider than my previous. Vertical edging isn't as precise. It absolutely ripped through my heavy test. The sample line included was great and I want to buy a roll of that stuff. Any short line head uses more line than a bumper and requires more effort to reload, but it was still very quick and easy. A supply of precut lengths would help, but I used roughly ZERO line on a yard which usually takes five or six bumps. The build looks sturdy but only time will tell if the whole thing needs replacing after getting dragged over the concrete, which is less likely due to it's low profile with no bumping required. Overall, highly recommended. Can't wait to use it again.
