**Q: Can this be planted and grown from these kernels?**
A: You probably can, but I would soak the seeds first to soften the shell, and start it out in a small greenhouse environment with humidity to start the germination process.

**Q: Is this purple corn 'maiz morado' from Peru ?**
A: Yes...the same as for the Peruvian drink and dessert...My daughter-in-law (born in Lima, Peru) made us the beverage for one of our family dinners.

**Q: Can this be used for popping?**
A: It is not the popping kind. Also, heating it for popping will degrade a portion of the antioxidants (anthocyanins) that make this stuff so awesome...:)

**Q: can you use in a smoothie?**
A: I never used the purple corns as smoothie, but I suppose you can.  Boil the purple corns until very tender and add to the blender with other fruits.  That might work.  Good luck!
