Designed for a low-profile comfort fit with extra protection where it's needed the most, protecting you from unexpected slams. Review: Manufacturing error? - I am sooo disappointed. I absolutely LOVE the padding. It's not as thick as some others, but it appears well placed. However, I can't try them on to know for sure bc the waist is child-sized, while the rest of the short is adult sized. See photos - the waistband doesn't stretch much farther than what you see; maybe an inch or two at most. I ordered an XS (I'm 5'4" and 103 lbs soaking wet). I usually wear an XXS. I have a small frame, small hips, and no butt, but I couldn't pull these on past my knees bc the waistband is way too tight to fit an adult. It's disproportionate to the rest of the short, which stretches well and actually looks like it would fit me a bit loose if only I could get them on. I wonder if it's a manufacturing defect bc I've never, ever seen such a tiny waistband in an adult item. I requested an exchange to avoid the 20% restocking fee (which is absurd, especially bc I suspect the shorts are irregular). Very, very disappointed. Review: NOT as described--or maybe I was sent the wrong product. - Not as described. Nothing adjustable about the waistband, and nothing removable about the back protector, which by the way *doesn't come up far enough to protect my tailbone*, despite the shorts fitting otherwise. Returning.

Overall the shorts are ok. To my taste the base material is a bit too gentle and can be ripped easily.
