Works fine, and you can get to 1 big partition.
This installs just fine. You may need an extra SATA cable. In windows 7, you CAN get it to show a single 2.72 TB free partition in windows 7. It just cannot be your primary boot drive, It must be a secondary data drive. Search youtube for a demo of the method. BTW harddrives are marketed such that 1 TB is 1000 MB. But your computer computes it such that 1 TB is 1024 MB. (Thats way simplified)

Finity India sends WRONG MODEL HUS724030ALE641 instead!!
Purchased 2 drives from Finity India. Model was supposed to be Hitachi Deskstar 5K3000 HDS5C3030ALA630 3 TB. Received two HGST Ultrastar 7K4000 HUS724030ALE641 3 TB drives instead. One of the drives had a Power_On_Hours value of 18273. That's over two years! DO NOT PURCHASE.

3.5 year now works great. Ran it as a primary drive (after I partitioned it to a 2GB + 1GB), though now as a storage drive after getting SSD. Also had to get Gigabyte 3TB unlock software to use it properly and definitely uninstall that software when updating BIOS, then reinstall. Don't know why, just know it all works.

Great drive to use on NAS...Running raid 6 on 4 hdd's...those drive are heavy duty and as good as they can get for the price

Not as advertised.
BEWARE!!!! These are HDS723030ALA640 not HDS723030ALA630 as advertised. It may not be a big deal to some, but these drives would not work in my IBM NAS devices as most of the time NAS devices call for very specific drives.
