Thule Wingbar Evo, 50"-Black

I installed the WingBar Evo on my GMC Terrain, and the whole process was quick and easy—took about 15 minutes total. The design and assembly are straightforward, and it feels like it could easily adjust to fit just about any vehicle. Everything lined up perfectly right out of the box. Once installed, the bars are rock solid. No shifting, no rattling, and absolutely no wind noise, even at highway speeds. I’ve used it a few times now, and it performs exactly as advertised. Simple installation, solid build, and quiet on the road—highly recommend the WingBar Evo to anyone looking for a reliable roof rack system.

These are perfect. They are exactly what I wanted, for my '22 Forester Wilderness. They are extremely sturdy, I have no concerns with loading them up to their capacity, which is far greater than most. They are extremely quiet. People who claim otherwise... I dont know what they're doing. The second time on the road with these was a purpose planned trip of varying lengths at varied speeds. They were so quiet that I forgot they were even there and the test was a waste. Regarding the Forester Wilderness, there is a lot of confusion and bad info around what bars fit, especially quality bars. I have the 50in Model 711320, they are mounted to the raised rail by the Thule Evo feet model 710410. Everything installed in minutes, no struggles at all. Very simple installation.

Easy to install well crafted except the design flaw of the rubber inserts. Lost inserts with the arrows on each cross bar. I ensured they were pushed in the whole way and they flew off somewhere along the highway (approx 60mph) Now the crossbars whistle extremely loudly no matter what speed I go. I contacted Thule asking if they should be glued in and I’m awaiting a reply. Aside from the excessive noise, still a good product. EDIT: contacted Thule regarding the rubber pieces flying off and they’re sending replacements updating to 5 star.

These bars are a perfect fit for my 2014 Subaru Forester, the 50” bars work great and have the right amount of overhang without being too long. The bars look great, are very quiet and are solid on the raised rails. Tips for installing, make sure to apply downward pressure and weight when using the torque key, this allows the feet to grab the bottom of the raised rail, if you don’t do this it will just grip the sides. Cons - For the money I shouldn’t have to cut the rubber slide pieces, had to trim about - 1/2” off the 50” bars, Thule take the time preinstall the rubber gaskets it can’t be hard to ship it complete. Also had to buy the lock cores for the feet for $60, they should be included as many reviewers said. Mostly one star off due to Amazon, first pair of cross bars came damaged from the warehouse, the outer box was perfect but Thule box was ruined. The replacement took a week and a half to get to the house, had to buy them at a retail store for a trip.

Installing wasn't too complicated. Find a video on youtube for your roof rack type. You'll also need 2 more pieces to install on your car: 1. Evo Flush Rail foot Pack (for flush rails) 2. Evo Flush fit kit (specifically for with kit number: 6112) Build the feet with the fit kit first. Locks are optional, but I recommend getting a 6 pack so you can have 4 for the rails and swap for your carrier too(assuming it is Thule and you want it to all match). Then build the rails and install.

I wish these were at least $100, but money aside, these aero blades are great and easy to install. The noise is barely noticeable on the expressway.
