Review: I was skeptical - I'm a pastor and I use an ear-loop microphone that cost us close to $300. The Sunday before Christmas it broke. There was no way I was preaching on Christmas Eve with a handheld microphone! Because of the cost of a ear-loop microphone we didn't keep an extra on hand. So I scrambled to desertcart and found these extremely inexpensive ones. I really had my doubts, but I purchased two anyway. They arrived fast and worked well. Now, a few things about them: They are cheaply made when compared to the $300 model. I am scared to bend them too much as they feel like they will break. Also, the cord begins to show wear a little faster than I like. Also the audio quality isn't as solid as I would like as there seems to me some "hollowness" to my voice, but it isn't bad. Our audio guys have been able to compensate pretty much for that. So, the first one lasted me about 3 months and then it started acting up. So I started using the second one and ordered 4 more that same day as backups. The second one has lasted me over a year and it's still the one I'm using today. I preach at three services every Sunday and we are still growing so the sound isn't bad! Again, these are very inexpensive and if you are a vocalist using them, maybe you won't like them as well, but for a speaker I find that they work very well for me. Review: A great mic for churches and more - This is a great little mic for churches. As a pastor, I wanted the freedom of a lavalier without the hassle of always managing to breathe, bump, or brush against the lapel mic. In searching for mics, I came across this Pyle-Pro On-Ear Audio Condenser Microphone. We had body packs for our system already and this mic was compatible, so I figured at that price point, I'd give it a try. I didn't hold out much hope for longevity but it would be a good way to see if I liked this type of mic. That was eight years ago. This little inexpensive mic lasted me eight years. In fact, I'd gotten so used to the quality that when our livestream audio began sounding strange a couple of months ago, I looked at our entire setup and changed multiple settings trying to track down the problem, never once considering the problem was with the mic itself. Turns out wire fatigue finally caught up with it, and the mic just wore out with use. I just ordered a replacement and if I can get even half the lifespan of the first, it will be a fantastic deal. The wire of the mic is very thin, and where it connects to the earpiece and the body pack plug are the obvious weak points, as with any wire. But being careful in handling them at these points will ensure a long use time. The mic/earpiece itself is incredibly light and feels comfortable around the ear. You can make minor adjustments to the size by bending, but be aware there is a plastic-like sheathing on the boom/ear section, so overbending can cause a bit of cracking. Additionally, if sweating is a problem, the mic sometimes will slip from its initial position around the ear. But it's easily readjusted and isn't that big a deal. One suggestion would be getting some kind of wire clip (not included) to use on your clothing to hold the wire a bit more securely. I made do without one, but may try to find something this go round, just for convenience. All in all, a great product. If your usage case will be more on the abusive side, this is a great option for quick and relatively inexpensive replacements. If you take care of the mic in handling and use, it should last a long time. It might not have the exact same quality as your more expensive setups, but it sounds great and is a very good budget-friendly option. I highly recommend this mic to anyone, especially in church settings.

I'm a pastor and I use an ear-loop microphone that cost us close to $300. The Sunday before Christmas it broke. There was no way I was preaching on Christmas Eve with a handheld microphone! Because of the cost of a ear-loop microphone we didn't keep an extra on hand. So I scrambled to Amazon and found these extremely inexpensive ones. I really had my doubts, but I purchased two anyway. They arrived fast and worked well. Now, a few things about them: They are cheaply made when compared to the $300 model. I am scared to bend them too much as they feel like they will break. Also, the cord begins to show wear a little faster than I like. Also the audio quality isn't as solid as I would like as there seems to me some "hollowness" to my voice, but it isn't bad. Our audio guys have been able to compensate pretty much for that. So, the first one lasted me about 3 months and then it started acting up. So I started using the second one and ordered 4 more that same day as backups. The second one has lasted me over a year and it's still the one I'm using today. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pretty hard to beat for the money

Old wireless headset finally went on the fritz at the church, and it was my responsibility to replace it. I had never personally bought one of these, so pretty ignorant of what to get. Pros: 1. the plug fits perfectly into the Shure transmitter, no issues. 2. Headset fits essentially the same as the headset it is replacing. 3. I know some reviewers commented that it is fragile (earpiece can snap). I will respectfully disagree. Seems reasonably well built, and earpiece seems to have adequate flex. I think it will hold up just fine, but will update my review if it does indeed break at some point. 4. Sounds pretty good for the price. (more on this in Cons) Cons: 1. As others have commented, this microphone runs "hot". You will need to adjust the gain on your transmitter down some. (this may not be an actual "con", maybe more of just an observation.) But, if you don't turn the gain down, you will almost certainly get distortion. However, with gain on transmittter set properly, it sounds fine. 2. As I commented earlier, although the sound is quite good for the price, maybe not as good as other mikes. I'm on the fence on this one. My ears tell me it isn't quite as clear as the microphone it replaced (which was almost certainly a lot more expensive). But, other listeners tell me it sounds just fine. Maybe it is my own bias, since I know how inexpensive this mike was, and I can't believe this cheap a mike could sound too good. Or maybe my ears are too picky. Overall though, quite pleased with the purchase. For less than $20.00 each, I was able to afford a spare for our church. Everyone seems happy with the sound reproduction, so that's good enough for me. No problem recommending, with just those two caveats above.
