The price was right and she ended up loving the graphics I picked (Sunset). The board arrived in less than the time advertised, and all set to go. It appeared to be good quality, rode smoothly and, after breaking in the trucks, turned alright for a longboard. I had not ridden a board in about 25 years, so the large turn radius bugged me until I realized that it's a product of the wheelbase. My daughter loves it and I took a couple of days to teach her how to ride it.And then I was teaching her the Ollie. I wasn't sure how it was going to work with a long tail as opposed to a "kickable" tail, but I gave it a shot. I was a lot lighter the last time I did one of these, so I was a little surprised at the result. When I landed back on the board, my trailing foot was just to the rear of the rear truck and the tail just snapped. I weigh 195 pounds, so I'm not sure that it is unreasonable to expect this board to take it. I've glued it back together, but intend to make a new deck, and probably a stronger board altogether for myself since this thing IS fun.I suggest this product for riding, but not tricks, especially if you're dense, like me (you can read into that remark what you will). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A pretty good beginning longboard *by M***H on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on September 18, 2010* This is my first longboard personally, and I'm finding it a great board to learn on. It gives me a chance to figure out what I want to do without breaking the bank, or worrying about tearing up my equipment. The board looks really nice, and I don't have any complaints about quality. The bearings and trucks aren't high-end, but not too bad to start with. I wouldn't want super fast bearings from the start, or I'd probably kill myself going down a hill.A couple things to note:The board has a pretty wide turning radius. Even if you loosen up the trucks, you can't carve super hard. This has a lot to do with the fact that the wheel base is pretty much wider than my stance.If you are cruising on flat land, you'll want to upgrade the bearings for sure. A couple of my friends have higher end boards/bearings, and I have to put in a lot more effort to keep up with them. On the bright side, like I said, it doesn't get away with you going down hill.Trucks have just a little speed wobble when you get going downhill fast.All in all, if you just want a pretty long board at a decent price, it's a great way to get a feel for what things are like. I'm still a novice - maybe 10 hours total on a board, but I've picked it up well enough and am comfortable cruising around town - no speed or downhills, just casual "strolls". From a beginner's perspective these are all great boards to start with. The bearings and wheels were good - no, the bearings aren't as smooth as what's on my Gold Coast, but for half the price I'm happy.To get to some of he specifics...The Krown Wood arrived warped which is why I only gave it three stars. In it's defense, when I road it, I really didn't notice any problems, but the board is a pretty significant part of the complete set and I feel, even at $70 the board should be right.The Xtreme Drop Down ended up being my favorite to ride, but that was mostly because I liked the drop down set up. The paper on the board did seem to scrape off pretty easily, but I won't ding them for that - cheeper quality goods kept the price down so I could get the boys into new toys.The Quest Kick Tail was just all around solid - not warped, paper seemed to stay on it, but it probably saw the least use of the three while I was there.In summary, as a beginner I can say all three are great beginner boards.
