Right-sized and shaped for the beginner with a larger DSLR
I bought this for my son who is getting enthusiastic about photography and using my Nikon D800. I’ve been “behind the lens” for decades so I am very picky about bags and this one is very nice for the price. Costly Spills: I like bags like this one that don’t make it a bit too easy for gear to fall out and hit the ground. That’s a big reason I chose this for my son. Sling bags can be a bit more comfortable and maybe have a “cooler” factor but IMO are more susceptible to “spills”. The shoulder strap on this bag, however, is well build and nicely padded and very comfortable. Grey Interior: The grey interior makes it much easier to see and find stuff. I never buy bags with a black interior. Black interiors are like black holes for smaller parts 😊 Moveable Velcro dividers: Pretty obvious that it makes the bag customizable and changeable and there are enough of them. I setup the bag for my son and ended up with a spare. Size: The “right” size is subjective, but for a Nikon D800 with a 50mm F/1.8, Optek strap attached, body/lens caps, memory cards, battery charger, cables, and miscellaneous it is, and still with a bit of room to grow. Pockets and compartments: Same thing here – “right” sized. There are plenty of them without there being so many that it starts to take away from what the bag will hold. Build Quality: IMO very good and I need to add some photos. Some reviewers have said the stitching, etc. is bad and the bag began to fall apart after little use. I looked closely and don’t see that happening now or in the future. Zippers are often a good sign of build quality, and they are also good strength and well stitched. Overall, this gift/camera bag for my son hits the mark. My own bag is a Domke and if I were in the market for new bag I would consider one in this Amazon line. From what I see it’s made just as well.

Great Value for a Reliable Camera Bag
The Amazon Basics Large DSLR Camera Bag is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a functional, durable, and affordable camera bag! My husband is a photographer and videographer and has been using this Camera Bag for several months now. This bag offers excellent protection and organization for his camera, lenses, and other equipment; perfect for both photography and videography shoots. The interior is well-padded, providing solid protection for multiple lenses and other accessories. The customizable dividers allow him to arrange everything exactly how he wants it, keeping his gear organized and easily accessible during shoots. The compartments help prevent equipment from shifting around, ensuring everything stays in place even on the go. Even if I have to search and find somthing for him, I can easily do so because it is so well organized. The bag is spacious enough to hold his main camera, several lenses, batteries, mics, memory cards, and additional accessories, but it’s still compact enough to be comfortable when carrying. The padded shoulder straps are ergonomic and make it easy to carry even when it's fully packed. Plus, the front pocket provides extra space for smaller items like memory cards, batteries, and cables. As for durability, this bag has held up wonderfully, with regular use. The material feels sturdy and well-made, and the zippers glide smoothly without any issues. Even after heavy use, the bag shows no signs of wear and continues to protect all his gear effectively. For the price, it’s hard to beat the quality.

Great Bag ! But.....
I am very impressed with this bag. Extremely well made. Material is top notch, and the padding is thick and is sure to provide more than adequate protection for your gear. It fit my Canon 70D camera and 18-135mm lens, plus my 50mm lens easily. Can probably fit one more lens comparable in size to the 10-135mm as well. There is still plenty of space for smaller items such as batteries, chargers, power bank(s), etc... My one gripe is that the loops at the bottom side of the bag that are for strapping a tripod to do not have pinch-to-open clasps. Even with the loops stretched to their widest opening, it takes a bit of finagling to fit in a travel size tripod. This is the only reason that I didn't give this 5 stars. Ultimately, I decided to go for a sling style bag that is more suited to my needs. I do a lot of hiking and walking about the city, and the ability to strap my gear across my back is important to me. This bag is box shaped and is more suited to carrying on your side or carrying by the handles on the top. A bit too bulky for hiking. However, if you are a professional photographer going from shoot to shoot and not walking about very much, this bag will serve you well. As others have noted, I am surprised that it is as inexpensive as it is. A great value without a doubt. I highly recommend !

Great for amateur/novice; Prob. not enough room for pro
Just received this today (happy mothers day to me!) And am pleasantly surprised by its sturdiness considering the price. I'm a hobby photographer, I don't post 100s of pics for everyone to see, it's literally just for me to take pics of my kids, cakes or cats and store them on my laptop lol. I'll start with size: I purchased this bag to to keep all my camera supplies in one safe place and to have something other than an extra purse to lug stuff around whilst crossing my fingers that nothing gets scratched or dinged. For me, this bag is perfect. It fits my canon 5d and my canon rebel perfectly. But I'm choosing a new flash atm (tossed my old broken one) and am crossing my fingers that it will also fit the soft box, flash and those accessories for it as well. As you can see from the pictures, the bag is just shy of a perfect fit for 2 cameras. It came with 4 compartment separators, I am only using 2. There are plenty of extra nooks and crannies to keep everything organized as well; the 2 side pockets are perfect size for my battery chargers (but these are not padded at all). The front compartment has pen holders, a pocket for randoms and a mesh zipped pocket as well and is lightly padded. The main interior has another mesh zipped pocket on the lid which I'm using for memory cards and there's also a built in thickly padded storage against the entire wall that slightly takes up some expensive space in the main area for whatever it is you need to throw in there. I'm thinking my soft box will fit nicely there.. So size wise for hobby photographers, this bag is perfect. Not too big, not too small. Material: The quality is more than I could have asked for for the $25 spent. Exterior material is sturdy and thick. They've lined the whole bag with heavy duty padding to a point that i don't think I'd have a heart attack if my bag dropped. There are a couple of loose strings which I plan on snipping off but other than that, the exterior is built to take a beating come rain or shine! The interior is thick, soft and will padded as well. The compartment dividers are also very thick and the Velcro on those babies means business. Once it sticks, it STICKS. It's so sticky, I put the extra 2 dividers into separate Ziploc bags to make sure they don't stick onto anything they shouldn't. Overall, I think this is a great buy for a great quality camera bag if you plan on using a single camera with a couple various accessories. If you have more than one camera, plus flashes, and/or lens, you might have to Tetris it around a bit but it might still work. If I buy more stuff, I will definitely be purchasing a second bag just for accessories since I know I can trust the quality. **Took a million pics for anyone that's like me and wants to see EVERYTHING along with size comparison :)

Amazon Basics Large DSLR Gadget Bag: The Perfect Companion for My Gear
Review: As a pro photographer, I'm always on the lookout for reliable gear to transport my equipment. While I usually haul around a huge backpack, sometimes it's nice to have a smaller bag for a single camera with a lens and a speedlight. The Amazon Basics Large DSLR Gadget Bag has been a great solution for me, and here's why: Pros: Compact Size: It's the perfect size for carrying a camera with a lens and a speedlight, making it easy to grab and go. Organized Compartments: The bag has multiple interior compartments and exterior pockets, which help keep my gear organized and easily accessible. Durable Material: Made from thick, durable polyester, it offers good protection for my equipment. Comfortable to Carry: The bag comes with top carrying handles and an adjustable shoulder strap, making it comfortable to carry around. Affordable Price: It's reasonably priced compared to other similar bags, offering great value for the features it provides. Cons: Limited Capacity: While it's great for a single camera setup, it doesn't have the capacity for multiple lenses or larger gear. Bright Interior: The orange interior is bright and helps in finding items quickly, but it might not be everyone's style. Verdict: Overall, the Amazon Basics Large DSLR Gadget Bag has been a fantastic addition to my gear collection. It's perfect for those times when I don't need to carry all my equipment and just want a lightweight, easy-to-carry option. The organized compartments and durable material make it a reliable choice, and the affordable price is a bonus. If you're looking for a small, practical bag for your camera and a few accessories, this one is worth considering.

Perfect size, quality materials, very well padded, and fits tons of stuff!
I wanted a decent size bag that I could put into my waterproof backpack if needed during camping/hiking trips. This camera bag was just what I needed. Materials: As you can see in the attached pictures, this bag has a ton of removable and replaceable padding. I have an expensive camera and lenses, so I didn't want to take a chance getting something thin or flimsy. The strap it comes with is also very durable. Pockets: This bag has the perfect amount/size pockets. You undo the two front buckles which reveals the padded top of the main compartment. Undo the zipper and see the main compartment as seen in my 2nd and 4th pictures. There is also an internal zipper pocket above the main compartment. As seen in my 3rd picture, there are left and right pockets big enough for batteries and chargers. A front pocket with an internal pocket against the bag, one zipper pocket away from the bag, and 2 pencil holders. The main compartment holds A LOT. I was able to fit the following with plenty of room left for a flash attachment or other items: Sony a7R ii with strap and leather case, 90mm GM Macro Lens, 35mm ZA lens, Macro ring light, multiple filters, and multiple spare lens covers. Even with all of these items, there's still room above equivalent to the size of a thick 5" x 10" in book. In the other pockets I was able to fit 8 batteries, their chargers, and a wired shutter release control. Lastly, the straps are more than strong enough to hold everything. I was very please with this bag's size and quality at this price point. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for large size camera bag!

You Get What You Pay For
Though more expensive camera bags will certainly beat it, you do get a good, compact, and versatile product for a very low price. The size is perfect for me; I only carry a couple of different lenses, and this size lets me take everything with me in a neat, compact package that doesn't get in my way. Everything fits inside nicely and the bag does feel comfortable and unobtrusive when worn. On the negative side, the materials do feel quite cheap. The neck strap in particular suffers from an almost impressively stiff foam pad and hinges that squeak every time the bag jostles at all. Also worth noting is that the bag is not weatherproof - it might protect your gear from a light rain until you can get to shelter in a pinch, but I wouldn't trust it in worse weather than that. Still, in spite of its shortcomings, for a price a quarter of some of the other camera bags this size, it's difficult to argue with it. I would like to give it 3.5 stars if that was an option. Pros: -Very Inexpensive -Versatile - Could function as both a light travel bag and a large camera holster at this size. -Fits a lot of storage into a light, compact space. Cons: -Cheap materials - from squeaky hinges to weak clips to the stiff-as-a-board padding on the neck strap, you can feel the corners they cut to sell it this cheap. -Not weatherproof - The foam exterior might protect your camera from light rain for a few minutes in a pinch, but that's it.

Perfect for the gear I have
Canon R7, RF 100-500mm, RF 18-150mm, RF50mm, 2 cases for batteries, mobile charger, lens caps and body caps, notepad an pens, remote release, camera manual, and lens cleaning kit all fit in the bag under the zippered down internal flap, which is under the padded top section. The 100-500 is not attached to the camera and lays along the bottom of the case along with the 4 spare batteries separated in a padded area at one end. The camera the other 2 lens on fit comfortably on top of the 100-500 ... but separated from the 100-500 by a foam pad which was part of the bag. The side pockets are home for the charger and ceaning kit. The 100-500 can stand up in the case but it is a very tight fit and the zipper is very tight. Well made and the long strap is comfortable on the shoulder. The hand hold is very strong. Great for packing the gear for a trip ... I use a large Ape Case for walking with the large lens attached to the camera. Recommended for travelling by car or plane. RTC

Excellent value
Nice gadget case - Good size and with good padded protection all around. Has a padded slot for tablets and 2 adjustable padded spacers. Under the cover there's a zippered pocket, 2 packets with Velcro covers that have a slot for memory cards or other small items. There's also a larger zippered pocket on the front under the flap with 2 mesh pockets. The strap has pad that makes it quite comfortable . This bag has plenty of space for the collection of gadgets I take with me when travelling, including an iPad mini, an iPhone 6, a compact digital camera, over the ear headphones, external hard disk, a 15,000 mAh power bank, and their various chargers and cables. And as with all AmazonBasics products I've purchased to date, quality is very good. Excellent value for the money.
