I would definitely recommend this product to those in small engine repair business Review: Wow, fast and easy, once installed, turned the nuts slowly, heard the pop and it was off. Just like that. - [ Update Aug 2018] I have since used it on three different lawn mowers (20" murray, 22" Murray, and 21 " craftsman) and have the same easy results. Make sure you have the self tapping screws really screwed into the flywheel, or else as you turn down on the nuts it will start tilting/popping up. Also I would turn the nut downward on one end and then turn the other side nut. And slowly like always once you hear that "pop" that flywheel good as off. Though it comes with 4 nuts, I have never found what to do with the other two nuts that would be on the bottom end of the bolts, below the black bracket plate. I have always just left them there on the bolt without doing any tightening of them, whereas with the other nuts that are above the black bracket plate are what i was turning downward to get the flywheel to "pop". I still find using this faster and easier than using pry bar and bang it. [Original Review] Works great. Saved me alot of time when I was getting nowhere with the other cheap skate methods of hitting the shaft with a hammer and a pry bar. Do yourself a favor, just get this and you will get that flywheel off in less than 3 minutes. The bolts are self tapping and cuts into the holes of the flywheel with no problem. The instructions on how to use is really really skimpy with just a diagram of how it should be assembled to use. Just go to YouTube and find one of the videos on how to properly use. When you do screw down the bolts into the flywheel go slow and use a socket wrench so you have better control to keeping it vertical and turning slow. Also like others have said, when you hear like a "pop" sound, its distinct, once you bolted them down, the black bracket against the engine spindle and you slowly tighten the nuts alternately, its done, loosen just like that. Listen for that pop and you are done and can remove the flywheel easily. Yeah, it seems to cost alot for a black colored metal, 4 nuts and self tapping bolts, but heck we talking about convenience and fast removal, just like that. Which if you do hit alot of tree roots or rocks with your lawnmower, you will probably need to use this again to replace the flywheel key....so its not a one time use.... :-) Used it on a 6.5 hp Craftsman with 21 inch blade lawnmower. Easily popped the flywheel off.
