It had good proportion, and if you know and understand modeling this should be an easy and fun thing to build and for for display. It has a good box and decent instructions and one metal axle. Finally, it is a fine customizing kit

End results looks great. It was a lot of fun to build. My only problem with AMT models is that parts don't always fit correctly and additional modifications are necessary to make parts work. In addition, they include many more parts that are not mentioned or instructed on how to use. Graphics on instructions are not the best compared to other brands. I still recommend AMT for the added challenges and the variety of models they have to choose from.

I purchased this kit for my 9 yr old son. For his first model ever, this kit proved to be just what he needed. Easily put together with simple and straightforward instructions. Minimal glue needed (which is great for a newbie). My only issue is the that the mold was created in an off white color requiring several coats of paint. Normally this is not an issue but considering this was his first time, I wish the kit was molded in an all black. Having said that, it was still a perfect buy that has him wanting to get his next kit!

I enjoyed building this 1966 Mustang Kit from AMT. Its an old school re-issue of a promo style with metal axles, one piece chassis (molded with the exhaust, drive shaft, rear axle, suspension etc.). So the detail is not as high as many kits. Some flash to trim off too, but the details on body and interior were very good. The kit includes pad printed white letter tires (bigger in the back), also a pair of pad printed slicks, also a full set of block wall stock tires. Detailed set of mags and great looking stock hub caps easy to detail these with paint. Build it stock, custom or drag racing. Lots of spare parts. I recommend this kit for modelers of any level of skill.

My Granddaughter wanted this hobby car for her birthday so, she got her wish and important things to know: it had not been opened prior, parts intact, just what she wanted!...can't wait to see the final product...!

Needed a quick Birthday present and I found this for a great price.

The pieces are fairly poorly molded. Instructions have 10 steps on one page which is confusing. Plastic is yellowish in color instead of the typical pure white. I’ve build several car models and this is by far the cheapest quality build.

Grandson loves it.
