**Q: what are the ingredients?**
A: Sambal Olek is listed as the first ingredient (35% or so) and that is made out of chili peppers, vinegar, salt and such and is not sweet. Then it is mixed with more vinegar, molasses, garlic powder an thus is slightly sweet. It is pretty spicy and used more as an ingredient in a sauce (like peanut or stir fry) or a dab on cheese and crackers, etc.

**Q: what are the full ingredients listed?**
A: red chillies, sugar, molasses, onion, water, salt, vegetable oil, vinegar, lactic acid, fermented shrimp paste, tamarinde flavor, potassium sorbate, also contains crustaceans.

I use  Conimex Sambal Oelek, Badjak and Manis. Oelek is easy to find, Manis seems to be the hardest. I like Manis best.

A: It is hot!
