We got this for my nine year old son. He was able to build it by himself and it is very sturdy. We added an additional rubberband to the handle which improved the design and made launching easier. It has been a lot of fun and a good learning tool.

great little catapult for older kids or science demos
I used this to promote our summer reading program which has a science theme. The kids LOVED IT!!! They asked me to give it away as prize at the end of the summer. I might buy another one for a prize. A couple of teens put it together for me and it works well. It can only fling very light items- I used pom poms and am hoping to fling some marshmellows this weekend. It isn't a toy for younger kids though. It's resin and could be broken if it is handled roughly. So good for older kids or demonstrations.

Directions only written in Korean
The text on the box cover is in English...the product I received had Korean on the box cover, which is no big deal, however, the directions were only written in Korean....if only I read Korean. An adult could probably figure it out from just the pictures, but I bought this as a gift for a 13 year old boy, and I think it would be too difficult. I was not impressed.

Sturdy design. Precision-made pieces snap together; no glue required. Easy to assemble. Powerful. Projectiles are included (but I made my own). Would be a fun project for a parent and child. I use it for statistical studies. It is far cheaper than any purpose-built statistical catapult. I particularly like the trigger. See my modifications in the attached photo.

excellent kit - lots of fun -
really love the Da Vinci series of kits - they are all snap together & are made in original looking colors - very cool to have around even for the kids to play with - will buy more -

Came in an different language than the box shows. All the stuff is there and the instructions have an English side but if I had known the box would be in another language I would have chosen a different item.
