Does this product repel spiders?

I'll tell you straight off this is the best insect repellent I've ever found, if it will repel carpenter bees it will repel spiders, to get the results that I did I'll give you the formula for great repellent in a gallon sprayer, mix just 2oz NBS30 no more, next take a dish washing liquid and put 1/2-3/4 cup in sprayer this will be the base for your spray it contains different chemicals to make it adhere to just about anything, next add water to your sprayer to fill line, then add the NBS30, this is important stir the mixture DO NOT SHAKE until all the liquid is mixed, pump up sprayer and coat the surfaces till really soaked then sit back and enjoy your space. good luck

can it be used on unsealed wood?

I use this product with stain on my decks every 2 years. The product website says it can be mixed with water, so I would expect it can be used on untreated wood, but you could contact the manufacturer to be sure. http://www.outlastcta.com/nbs-30

Everyone mentions carpenter bees. My problem in the country we live in is flies! Drives me nuts. Has anyone had any luck reducing flies?
