Did not work for the first month and I almost sent it back - almost 3 months later we have not seen or heard a mouse. So perservere. The mice probably thought let's keep trying to ransack the house and the noise will all go away but looks like they have really had enough fingers crossed. Apart from glue traps which was the only other thing that worked for the not so clever mice, this has worked the best for us. Worth giving a go and highly recommend - you can just send it back through the guarantee otherwise.

Well, like many others on here I have found this unit to be totally ineffectual. I was doubtful of the claims but I wanted to give this product a try as a humane method of dealing with a mouse problem. Having used this product continuously since the beginning of April (over 2 months), carefully setting the unit as per the instructions. I can honestly say that the unit is completely useless. The mice wander right in front of the unit, within 12 inches, and seem totally unfazed by its presence. In fact they stand and stare at it and then wander off to investigate other parts of the room. The number of mice who come and visit the unit has steadily increased. I am expecting a note from the mice any day now asking me to install a disco ball and a cocktail bar as it has become such an attraction for them. I really did genuinely hope that this product would reduce our little scurrying visitors if not completely get rid of them. Unfortunately it looks like I will have to resort to other methods involving a large cat to commit mouse-icide.

The device certainly does something, the piercing sound gave both me and my wife an instant headache within seconds. There will be some debate about how far up the frequency scale humans can hear and whether this device should be able to be noticed by humans, and while this doesn't give a "sound" as such, its very obvious it is on. We took it back off within a minute, and headaches lasted for a few minutes before starting to dissipate again. Not everyone will be effected by this, and I'm not sure how successful it is for mice which is what we purchased this for. We left the device on while we were away for a week, so we didn't have to suffer and turned it back off when we got back. Note that it is recommended to leave it on for two weeks - but we couldn't handle the pain, so the second we were back in the door it was back out of the mains. The result we thought was successful, but after a couple of days we spotted our mouse again. Unfortunately for us it did not appear to work, but rather it seemed to hide and keep itself to the furthest point - so its possible that it did its job in a sense, but the lack of full exposure and ability to distance itself away from the device perhaps far away enough not to feel it might have not helped in this particular instance. In our experience of using it, there seems to be a significant impact on spiders - they either love it so much they hung around the device or they tried to get to the furthest point away from it - its an odd thing to see but it seemed to be split by species! Perhaps some its too sensitive, while others aren't phased by it at all. The instructions provided will explain what settings to use initially, and what settings to use on subsequent uses. The buttons on the side of the device is clear what does what, so its easy to understand. There is also lights on the device to indicate its on, however if you are like us (perhaps a neurodiverse or sensory difference) you'll know its on instantly. For the record, we ended up using "mouse glue boards" instead in the end, this keeps mice alive and the ability to unstick them with regular cooking oils for a non-lethal option - as well as being easily placed in known running spots to ensure it works 100%. This device might be better for people in certain situations, perhaps flats or cottages, where other animals or small children might not be suitable for glue boards. Its a non-lethal option, for those like us who would prefer to deter or catch-and-release. Be mindful though that if you or anyone in your household is sensitive to sound, particularly hypersensitivity, they might be effected by it being on.

Heard scratching in my wall. Had a problem with rats last year. I'd try anything not to go through that again. Since plugging this in next to the wall the scratching has gone, I'm very happy to say. I would recommend trying this if your having rat problems.

Originally purchased in early 2025. Very cheap plastic. Buttons too stiff to move by a finger and needed gently prising with a screwdriver. The test button which should emit a sound humans can hear did not work either. Returned to Amazon for refund which they dealt with in their usual first class manner. Moving on to February 2026 and thought I would give them another chance hoping improvements had been made. No such luck. The same two issues referred to above were still present a year later. Same day return to Amazon for refund which they dealt with immediately and courteously. There will be no third chance.

I can't believe how effective this is. My loft bedroom has been a nightmare in the winter when the fieldmice come in from the surrounding fields. I imagined them chewing insulation and electric wires, weve filled all the holes we could find but it didn't stop them. Now my bedroom is blissfully silent. Thank you!
