AC Adapter 5.1V 2A for 2Wire GPUSW0512000CD3S

Our router was resetting a lot, and I read the power supply adapter may be overheating. We repkaced it with this one and the resetting stopped, It could be a coincidence, but I don't care. The adapter was the right voltage, which was critical. Good product.

The OEM power supplies that come with 2Wire DSL networking equipment are very prone to failure. I had two fail on me before I got this adapter and so far it has lasted nearly a year and is still going strong. The voltage and amperage are correctly matched for the device and it works, so that's about all that can be said for a product like this.

First, to be clear, my 2Wire modem still works. It's working now on a borrowed adapter that was packaged with an external HDD. I bought this adapter to replace the original 2Wire adapter (2nd time). The green light comes on on the adapter itself (completely different configuration than the photo), but the modem is completely dead when plugged in. When I reconnect borrowed adapter, it works fine.

This has been pretty good so far, a little bulky, but that's alright .

Depending on who Amazon Prime is partnering with you may get the OEM 2 wire power supply (twice the size of aftermarket) which is at best adequate, will eventually die as others have indicated, But WILL WORK... OR despite the fact that the OEM picture is shown, you will get a tiny weak aftermarket which will overheat, will not maintain the 2 amps required at 5 volts-Bottom line you will get junk that will either not work at out of package or be dead in a few weeks. If Amazon ships you a smaller and different looking power supply than in the picture, it is inadequate. The original is weak. The knock-off is junk. Amazon should never sell or partner with someone who sells a different part than pictured.

I would not give this any star rating at all, but that was not a choice. Received the item on time. However. It did not work at all. Figured it would cost more time and money to return, so I just forgot it.
